Lubec Cabin
It was a very nice cabin in a beautiful setting. Out of the way and quiet. Was able to see the sun rise from the beach. Wasn't a need for anything ( maybe a couple kitchen items).

Such a comfortable place, this was my first time in a rental home and was surprised to see so many amenities. beautiful surroundings and Lubec is an interesting place to visit. Would definitely repeat this location and will recommend to others

Perfect
This property goes beyond expectation, its beautiful, quiet and Jamie & Damon thought of every detail, even providing toothbrushes, body wash etc, absolutely everything we would need. This was our first time renting a home for our vacation and they set the standards so high I am not sure we will ever find another as perfect.

Fantastic Getaway
Quiet and Convenient! Spent three nights and wish we had more time to take in the area. The hike at Quoddy was the highlight, but the whale watching was great too! Coming back to the cabin to relax was the perfect way to end each day.

Awesome cozy cabin for spending time with family and friends

Perfect Getaway
We stayed at this cabin years ago under previous owners. The new owners have outdone the love we had for this cabin before. They had everything & anything you could need, the fire pit was wonderful. The path to the beach beautifully done. The owners were kind & helpful. We would certainly come back to this cabin in a heartbeat. Thank you for a beautiful & peaceful stay!

Great stay as always
We've stayed in many vacation properties and this is one of the best equipped. There's everything you could need in a compact and comfortable space. Lots of thoughtful, generous touches and the owners are very responsive and helpful. The cabin is near the other cabin rentals but very private. It's just off a quiet country road and a short ride to the town of Lubec and, best of all, to many very nice hiking trails. The cabin's fire pit and outdoor table and seating is a great addition!

We had an amazing trip! The cabin is well stocked and the owners thought of everything. Very comfortable beds, a welcome basket of snacks, a rocky beach and fire pit to enjoy. I highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Americana cabin. The host goes above and beyond in every way The cabin is not only beautiful but it has everything that you could possibly think of to make your stay one that you will never forget. We can’t wait to visit again!

Perfect little hideaway

Beautiful secluded cabin
This cabin is in a secluded area. The owners try to think of every detail. Snacks, items for pets, items for children to color in. It rained pretty much the entire time we were there, but the scenery is beautiful. Short drive up to Canada too. Would definitely recommend this cabin for a small family or anyone with pets!

Exceptional Lubec, Maine Cabin
Can’t say enough about the Americana cabin! It was clean, comfortable , and provided everything we needed. It’s location is in the woods, private and includes a well groomed path through the woods to the water. And! It isn’t just dog friendly, it has special accommodations for them! Owners ∝erty Manager were friendly & very accommodating. We hope to visit the Americana again in 2023!

The Americana Cabin is perfect
The Americana Cabin is a perfect little getaway in a peaceful and beautiful location on the Down-east coast. Jamie & Damon along with Carla were the perfect hosts, being exceptionally responsive and welcoming. Wi-Fi was outstanding and this was so important as we worked remotely from paradise. Our pets were just as welcomed as their human friends with lots of pet friendly amenities. We will definitely be back as there are still amazing hiking trails that we couldn’t make it to during our one month stay.

Wonderful cabin!

Relaxing Vacation
I stayed at the Americana cabin with my husband, two teenage sons and our small dog. We arrived late on our check-in day and had no problem finding the property or getting in. I appreciated all of the lights that were on outside the cabin. We entered and found the cabin clean and organized. We were able to settle in quickly and that was nice as we had had a long day of traveling. We knew from previous posts that most places close early in Lubec so we came prepared with some of our own groceries for snacks and breakfast and this worked out great for us. We spent the week exploring the beach right near the cabin and all of the beautiful attractions in the area. The guidebook at the cabin helped us decide on these attractions and on places to eat for lunch and/or dinner. We met Carla during our stay and she was gracious, friendly and helpful. Americana cabin is a wonderful place to stay when you are looking to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life or spend time in nature and hike, skim rocks and take in the beautiful scenery.

Great getaway
My husband and I stayed in the Americana cabin for ten days and very much enjoyed our time there. The setting is peaceful and a short walk to a rocky and very picturesque beach. We really liked the Cobscook trails and other walking paths that are all close to the cabin, especially the “Farm Trail” just up the road where we could take our pup off leash. The cabin is very clean and well equipped with new kitchen equipment and comfortable furniture. It was roomy for the two of us. Fridge, stove, washer and dryer, dishwasher and shower all worked well. Carla the property manager and the cabin owners were all excellent at communicating and providing any help needed. All in all a great place to stay for a restful vacation!

Beautiful, quiet beach camp with an amazing rocky beach! Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Americana for the fourth of July/ honeymoon. We loved it! Would recommend for those who love the outdoors and need a place to relax. The host stocks the camp with everything you need as well as things to make your stay more comfortable. Looking forward to returning!

Fairytale!
Wow! Maine is already magical but driving past lupine covered fields and unreal views of the coast then turning onto the road and arriving to our cottage felt like we stepped into a fairytale. Surrounded by a musical forest with soft grass and wild flowers is the charming Americana cabin. Our hosts, Damon and Jamie, did a beautiful job decorating and the cabin has everything you could need. Not only did they have snacks and s’more supplies for us (thank you so much!) but they even had supplies for our four legged child. Our old golden appreciated the treats and bed ❤️. Then follow the path through the lovely forest down to the beach. There are lanterns to guide your way to or from if you want to catch a sunrise/set. Thank you for having us and well done setting up a magical place. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful and Peaceful
My wife and I loved our stay at the Americana Log Cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. It was the peace and quiet we were looking for. It was so quiet and it was a short walk to the beach. I caught the sunrise one morning and turned to find a seal watching me. The kitchen was well stocked so you can prepare meals if you don't want to eat out the whole time. The Lubec area is beautiful and the Cottage makes a great base to start exploring from.

Very clean with great provisions
We enjoyed the stay in quaint Lubec. The house is very nice, linens were exceptional. Easy to cook in well provisioned kitchen and bathroom was well stocked too . Bathroom heating was great on chilly mornings. Very good information on surrounding restaurants Carla was very helpful and available. Thank you for the nice stay away from home.

quiet location.
The cottage was neat and clean, with about everything you would like to be there. A short walk to water, with a nice shoreline to follow. With Cobscook Shores just opened up this year, there are many places to do short hikes, bike, and paddle. It's easy to find places to explore, and see the beauty of Downeast Maine.

A cozy cabin in Lubec, Maine
We very much enjoyed the Americana cabin. It was charming, clean, and the property manager responded super fast to the few questions we had. We love the area and think of it as a jewel. The description of the cabin and property is very accurate. This cabin shares the property with 2 other cabins, so you do see others coming and going. Rather than this being a negative, our daughter made quick friends with the children in one of the other cabins. Just another way this cabin and property can be described as cozy and welcoming.

Great beach
The best part of this cottage is the beach. We came for a kayaking vacation and the beach was usable as a kayak launch at all tides. It is gravel all the way down to low tide with only patches of seaweed. Be aware that the cabin is up the hill a ways from shore, so you will need duffel bags or buckets to carry your gear from the cabin to the kayaks. There is a kayak rack near shore. There are no views from the house itself. It is surrounded by woods.

A great place to get back to nature!
Our family (2 adults, 2 teens and our dog) stayed at the Americana cabin for a long weekend. We found the cabin immaculate and stocked with everything we could possibly need to get started. The cabin's is perfectly located: close to town and area attractions without being right on top of civilization, surrounded by beautiful evergreens, close to the private rocky beach and hiking trails. There are two other rentals on the road (also owned by Damon & Jamie) but plenty of privacy. We had booked this rental back in March in hopes the border would be reopened and the world would be in a better place by the time our stay came around. Although we missed the border opening by 1 day, the proximity of the cabin to the Lubec/Campobello Island CBP is convenient. Damon was excellent in communicating both before and during our stay and Carla, the property manager, checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed and how our stay was going. We recommend this cabin and its neighbors to anyone looking for a relaxing get away with friends or loved ones and/or renting Damon & Jamie's three properties for a multi-family vacation.

I am adding another super positive review to the many that Jamie and Damon have received. They are great, responsive hosts first off! Second, folks should know that the essentials: mattress comfort, internet and cell phone coverage, appliances, kitchen equipment are ALL great. My daughter was able to conduct Zoom business meetings without any problem. We all slept well. Everything was ship-shape in terms of plumbing, conveniences. There is an easy to use firepit in front of the cabin. The screen porch is a great place to relax with a book and enjoy the morning light. The kitchen is well equipped. We made a fish stew, salad, pancakes all without any problem. Great pots for cooking seafood. If you are an exacting cook, you might want to bring your own chef knife and maybe a mixing bowl or two. This summer of 2021 was unusual in that the Canadian border was closed. I wonder if that changed things around Lubec. It was hard to find fresh fish - but fresh clams were available. There is not a big range of markets or restaurants. If you want more variety, you might do well to get speciality foods in Ellsworth, say at the Edwards Market, and enjoy cooking and dining in your cabin! I was surprised at how peaceful and quiet this location is. No sounds of cars. Birds are the loudest sound you will hear. The sunrise is spectacular and the hosts provide a picnic table right by the shore, a very short walk from the cabin. I used it to paint the gorgeous scenery. I can't wait to come back.

Everything you need
The cabin was perfect and in a beautiful spot. In the morning we’d run the dog on the nearby trails and then at the end of the day we walked out along the beach to watch the sunset. We love Lubec. It has so much to offer. Can’t imagine ever getting tired of it. The owners and the woman that helps them were all very helpful and responsive too.

Combined forest and beach retreat
We had a lovely stay. No complaints at all. We had to leave a day early unexpectedly, not expecting a refund but the hosts/owners did give us a refund. Thank you so much. Thank you Damien and please thank Carla for us.

Amazing place and management
Wow, I’m blown away at my experience at the Americana! From reservation to checkout, the hosts were the most responsive I’be ever experienced. The place was immaculately clean when I arrived (Carla is amazing!) and it was the perfect set up. The place is even better than the photos. A short walk to the coast and short walks / drives to hikes in the area. It was perfect. I would have stayed longer if it was available! I will be back - thank you!!

Nice cabin that had everything
This was a well-stocked cabin, clean and good location. The little beach was cute with nice views. We went for the hiking and there are many hikes in the area so it was great for that. Not far from downtown Lubec. It was all very nice.

beyond any expectations we had...way beyond...so nice we had a ball!!!
the surprise of arriving at the entrance...and then the nice drive in thru the woods..jeez. perfect! great layout of the house...nice cozy fire place - breezy...seals in the water...schools of mackerel or whatever it may have been...the beautiful rocks on the beach...i could go on forever... We Will Be Back!! Thats a direct threat!! ha ha...thank you so much!!! Joann & Rich
