Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel itself has a great vibe and beautiful design. One thing that would have really elevated the experience would be having the terrace open throughout the day so guests could fully enjoy the property. It would have been such a nice place to relax, read a book, or enjoy coffee. The terrace was typically only open after 5 PM. The first night we were there it was closed for a private party, and another evening it did not open until 7 PM, which felt a little limiting for guests wanting to use the space during the day. The surrounding neighborhood is definitely a bit gritty. While I personally felt safe, there was a noticeable amount of drug activity and homelessness nearby.

We had a great stay. The room was spacious and had great amenities. The locker room area was really nice. All the staff were very friendly. The location overall is good. It is downtown so can be sketchy nearby but we would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great except for checking in. The room was ready about an hour after our check-in time.

Great view from bayside rooms of planes landing at SFO. Discovered that the shower had a tricky operating mechanism with no instructions evident! As a result did not take a morning shower. There was a very nice breakfast buffet included in the room price with good eggs, waffles, toast etc. The shuttle bus to the airport comes only every half hour and was crowded! It did only take 10 minutes to get to terminal 1, though!

Fantastic location, well maintained property with free breakfast. Staff is helpful, got quick resolutions to room issues. No in house restuarant though.
