"There was a terrible cigarette smell. We ended having to leave in middle of night because we could no longer stand it."

"The location and the view were amazing! Such an abundance of wildlife! Deer, heard a fox, and the birds! Heron, ducks, geese, bluebirds, eagles- and as we were leaving found the eagle nest, next to the house as they came screeching in. Beautiful dark sky for star gazing. The house is good, beds comfy, had all the amenities and supplies. Struggled a bit with the wall heaters ended up using the portable heaters. It was a cold weekend. I agree with the other reviewer that it could use a deep clean, especially floors, corners, baseboards. The deck is a bit wonky, need to be careful with footing. But you cannot beat the location! Would love to visit in the warmer months!"

"Room was spacious but bathroom was a bit old and in need of some work. Paint peeling. Tub was old and stained. Shower curtain wouldn’t stay shut and got water all over the bathroom floor. Hallway carpet was gross and in desperate need of replacement "

"Hideaway at Hayes Beach was amazing It was a wonderful place to spend Christmas with our family. We were lucky enough to get snow! My husband and I enjoy walking so it was a prefect place to for it. Would definitely recommend this place"
