Cottage Escape in Virginia Wine Country
LoeLynn Farms is the quiet escape you need. This two-story cottage nestled in the mountains in Virginia's Wine Country offers a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor living, lake access, and, most importantly - peace and relaxation. The Cottage is conveniently located to many wineries, breweries, exceptional restaurants and outdoor adventures. We are just 75 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. in the heart of Loudoun County Wine Country and many historic neighborhoods. We can't wait to see you!
Nestled on 25 acres, LoeLynn Farms is a 110-year-old dairy farm that is being brought back to life by the hosts. The cottage offers a cozy queen bed and a full, bright bathroom located on the upper level overlooking the grounds. Stay in for board games and movies, or head out for a hiking adventure or vineyard tour. Make it a grill-at-home night, or enjoy a meal at one of our favorite farm-to-table restaurants for delicious food and wine. Take one of our kayaks out, or bring your fishing rod to our private lake stocked full of various types of fish. Be sure to visit one of the 50 award-winning wineries or over 30 craft breweries in the area while you are here. Whatever your preference, you are sure to find something to enjoy.
You will have full access to the Guest House and the field behind the Guest House, which features some short trails around our Silo and up to the barn. We also allow our guests to wander our farm. Our only ask is that you respect our privacy and don't wander onto our side of the farm. A map of the grounds is provided in the unit if you are interested in exploring
We welcome you to bring your own fishing gear to use on the lake. Please let us know in advance!
The home is most ideal for two adults. While we have not specifically set up the space for a small child traveler, you are welcome to bring them with your own pack-n-play and necessities. Also, small, potty-trained animals are welcome.
Note, LoeLynn Farms is an old Farm that was built in 1910 and has gone through a number of hands, some of which neglected sections of the farm until we came to acquire it in 2020. The majority of your payment helps us restore our farm back to its natural beauty. However, areas of the farm are in much-needed repair. Our only ask is that you respect the farm and the old structures, and do not attempt to climb on or scale the structures around the farm.

Great Week
Ideal place for day trips. We would go explore during the day and return in the afternoon to cook dinner and relax. The kitchen is well equipped, spent time on the deck enjoying cocktails and watching the sunset. The surrounding area is beautiful to enjoy the nature. We would highly recommend this cottage to stay.

Perfect getaway
We stayed at this rental for the Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon. It was the perfect location to town, very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed (including coffee and creamer). We loved all the farm fresh restaurants and little markets and the wine, of course, which all were nearby.

Beatiful area and super clean place!
Overall the property was awesome and everything was very clean. I missed an email so it did take a few minutes to figure out the checkin process but otherwise flawless and absolutely would stay again.

Peaceful country getaway
This beautiful property is off the beaten path. Cute & cozy little cabin decorated in a shabby chic/country decor. The only issue we had was some spotty WiFi/internet service but the owner quickly answered our concerns and all was well.
I’d definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Relaxing Getaway for 2
Everything from booking to checkout was awesome. Communication with the owner was excellent. Very easy to check in and the cottage was spotless with everything you could need. Loved doing yoga on the deck in the morning. Air conditioning was wonderful and is auto programmed perfectly. Ceiling fan in the bedroom was appreciated. Not because it was too hot but because I always like a fan running.
Location was convenient to visit the nearby historical towns. Harpers Ferry and Leesburg and we ventured over to Annapolis one afternoon.
People complain about the proximity to the owners property but you only see their house when entering. The back deck and grounds behind the cottage are very private. I never saw the owners or their children. I saw the dogs once, well behaved, no barking and stayed on their side well away from the cottage. I know he wanted to run and say hello but he just wagged his tail hopefully. Adorable.
Lots of wild life on the grounds.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Hope to return one day and totally recommend to others.

Comfortable and thoughtfully appointed
The cottage was a perfect, quiet retreat for a couple. The owner communicated frequently with us to ensure a smooth check in and to be sure we were comfortable. He even provided a much-appreciated lagniappe since we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was an abundance of fluffy towels in the bath. Toiletries, coffee/creamer and dish and laundry soap were also provided.
