The place alright. I asked the person that checked me in what time breakfast is served and he said 7am to 10am. So i woke up at 7am cleaned up and got ready togo so by 7:20am i walk over and they were closed. The one reason i pick this place was breakfast and they took pets. 1 out of 2 sucks. I could have stayed somewhere that took pets for free and no breakfast for 20 dollars less. 84 dollars for a ran down place Not again

This hotel, at first glance, may not appeal to some travelers. The building is old and outdated, the interior design is lacking any flair. However, the staff is friendly and efficient, the room extremely clean, the bed comfortable, the TV and appliances (fridge, microwave, coffee maker) updated. The property is quiet and not far from necessities. Look beyond the dated appearance and enjoy this motel for what it is: a decent place to hang your hat overnight.

The room was clean and warm. The sign outside says "Luxury", which it isn't. WiFi is supposed to be in every room. I was down on the end of the building and the signal wasn't strong enough for me to do any work on line. Breakfast doesn't get served until 7 o'clock. 6 is pretty standard. The place is good only to a warm place to sleep.

Not going back
I checked in, walked around and checked out. The grounds were filthy-trash everywhere, a dirty diaper on the front lawn, dead grass, old air conditioners in the parking lot near my room, etc. I looked at the room, which was clean, but was not comfortable with the whole package. Convenient location near freeway with onsite eating at their pizza/burger restaurant. This should be a nice place to stay but it is in bad condition.

Quaint old motel
Don't judge a book by it's cover. This is an old-style motel from the 50's. It needs painted and looks rundown. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Good: The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. Old chairs from the rooms, were outside for relaxing when the temp is nice (morning). Bad: Breakfast was a joke. Might as well, not offer breakfast. Pool is closed and looks like it hasn't been open in years. A/C couldn't really keep up. Bonus, they have a pizzeria onsite, that makes great pizza.

Not only was this place an absolute dump, but it seemed like the guy behind the counter was trying to dodge Orbitz fees and scam us into paying more. I made a reservation through Orbitz a month ahead of time but when we got there the guy claimed he didn’t have record of our reservation. Even after giving him both our names AND showing him the reservation email from Orbitz. It was late, so we agreed to pay extra for what he claimed was the only available room. A king for $80+. I got Orbitz on the line to see what they could do and they immediately called Lovelock Inn. Guy behind the counter magically finds our reservation, and after a bit of a struggle we finally got offered our original room and the 10$ we payed for the king room. The whole issue was super fishy. The queen room was even worse than the king room they tried to charge us for, but both rooms were nasty. The pictures included in this review are of the queen room. I can’t say enough how filthy these rooms are. People should not be staying in them. Please please please, learn from our giant mistake of booking with Lovelock and go somewhere else! Every minute here was terrible. Nasty, filthy, overpriced rooms with paper thin walls and strange smells.

Room not clean too expensive
For the price that I paid to stay two days it was not worth it but I had no option because the other hotels were booked. My room was not all clean and the windows had bugs and dead flys. I would not stay again.

Cool property. Liked the town... The fact that there's a pizzeria on property is pretty cool. Some corners have been cut with regards to property maintenance, but I liked the desert oasis feel of the place. I'd stay here again.

This property is filthy. There were burn holes in the sheets and stains on the sheets and pillow cases. The carpet was terribly stained. Dead bugs all over the bathroom. A window pane that was taped in place. The so called “ breakfast” was cold cereal and a cold roll. Overall disgusting experience and extremely overpriced. I DO NOT recommend staying here!

Very dirty, old, hole in the ceiling plugged with a cigarette butt, the bed spread full of dust as well as the furniture, peep hole plugged with paper,non-smoking room full of cigerette butts outside the room all over the ground, fridge was not cold at all, very disgusting place. The breakfast was a joke. Container of different containers of cereals that looked very stale.

The property was extremely outdated and unclean. Shower had hair and soap still in it. Large stains on the carpet and the room smelled pretty bad. The man who checked me in said that Orbitz had not let him know that I would be bringing a dog. I was very frustrated and after some time he came up with an alternative plan. He gave me the option of a room people had been complaining about because someone had lived there for 6 months, or another room. Weird options. I took the second option before looking at the first which didn't make sense to him. Weird again. I checked into my room and as I mentioned before the shower still had soap and hair in it, paint was peeling in large strips, huge stains on the carpet, flies, and it smelled bad.

But you have the option to write a message to inform the property if you have a pet or anything else you need. Front desk person tried their best to accommodate you instead of saying no. They can not allow pets in other rooms. Sorry again for what you have been through.

This would be a much better camping spot than a motel. I don’t know how old it is but the bedding was very worn, stained and hard to use. The noise of the train was okay but people making noise in other rooms due to thin walls was very disturbing. The safety standards are not acceptable, the smoke alarm was taken apart, the cover was sitting in a drawer and there was no battery hooked up to the device. No water in the swimming pool, which would have maybe improved my review. Ending on a good note, the pizza and garlic twists are very good!

The owners of this establishment left someone "in charge" while they apparently left for Sacramento. The room was cleaned according (in the words of the one left "in charge") "to the bare necessities." The reception office was locked by said individual, and any time we needed anything, we had to call said individual's cell number. When we needed ice (and the ice machine door was also locked), the story was that the ice machine was broken...although we heard from someone else that it was functioning normal earlier in the day. We had only two towels in the room for 3 people, one small bar of soap for everything...washing hands at the sink and showering. We haven't yet had breakfast, but I'm not expecting much because when we asked last night when breakfast begins, said individual said, "At 7 o'clock, and what you see here is what you get." (It looked rather meager.)

Cheap. Clean. Just OK.
+ = cost, staff, cleanliness, reasonably comfortable bed, deadbolt/security (not all Lovelock motels are secure, trust me), toiletries, microwave, mini-fridge (loud though) - = no accessible grounded outlets (I had to run a cord from the bathroom and leave the light on), complete lack of sense of decor, old enough to be nearly threadbare, near a train track with frequent loud trains (ok with earplugs but you can still hear it), near the freeway (loud but easy to get back on the freeway)

Some problems but good value nonetheless
Some sort of construction work being done next door until 10 p.m. I don't believe it was critical, but I was in bed at 8 p.m., so not thrilled about that. Free breakfast started at 7 a.m., but I had to leave at 6:30. Previously used washcloth left draped in shower. Bedside wallplug needs attention. Otherwise, I was really pleased with the room itself. Much better than I had expected.

Lowest price in Lovelock. Owner was friendly and helpful. Got the tv working quickly. Delivered the pizza we ordered to our room. The door lock was a residential knob type which fit poorly, only important while out of your room. The deadbolt can only be locked from the inside so the only outside security is the poorly fitting key in knob lock. Good enough as long as you are in the room and apply the deadbolt. Breakfast listed as a benefit 7-10am. Went to check for breakfast at 7:30, the doors were locked. Phoned the telephone no answer. Went back to the room to finish packing & when returned at 7:40, the breakfast room door was unlocked. Waffle maker was available but it was turned off. Turned it on & heated it up. Checked for waffle batter, found it in small fridge with a near empty bottle of sunny d and a full bottle of apple juice. The waffle batter was in a dispenser container. Oil has floated to the top of the batter about 3/8" thick. Tried to shake the dispenser to redistribute the oil. The batter in the bottom of the container was too thick to allow it to mix the oil. After trying for a while, decided the partially mixed oil and batter did not appear very appetizing so I opted out of that option and turned off the waffle maker. There were some packaged pastries (excellent they were packaged). Tried to get some coffee from a thermal dispenser. One of two had some coffee in it but the coffee was cold. No microwave or other apparent method to heat it so poured some apple

Wonderful place to stay.
The people there are awesome. They are friendly and make sure you have everything you need. They als have a new pizza kitchen there with some of the best pizza I have had.
