July Stay

The house is located 35 minutes from Estes Park so if you are going to Rocky Mountain National Park it is a drive. It is very quiet and secluded. The sound of the water running by was very nice. The water runs fast and is not wading depth so getting in isn't a good option. The host is VERY responsive. The house is VERY well equipped and decorated. It was hot during our stay with temperatures over 90 daily and the house is not air conditioned so it was uncomfortable. The house had a gas smell which we reported and they came right out and tested for propane and it was not propane. My guess it was sewage. With having to close up the house daily (theft/bears) when we came back at the end of the day's adventure the house was hot and stunk. The host and his staff were VERY responsive but the heat and smell led us to leave and find other accomodations. If those two issues were resolved and you didn't mind driving a ways daily it would be a nice rental.
