We enjoyed our stay, especially the area restaurants. The location is very cool and the home is historic with quite a bit of character. One of the queen bedrooms is very small and does not have a closet. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The hosts were extremely responsive, kind and helpful.
The houses was great. Communication with hosts was the best we have ever had!
Landscape could us a clean up, but the house was perfect and in a great location to walk to shopping and restaurants. We attended and event at the Kentucky Exposition Center which was less than a 10 minute drive.
This house has a lot of space to spread out and is beautiful and very comfortable. You can easily walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops in just a few minutes and there was plenty of parking if you have a vehicle. The house is stocked with books, games, and all the essentials. and the hosts were very responsive.
We were four girlfriends coming to Louisville for a few days to celebrate one of us retiring.
The house was just very lovely, with period furniture, art and decor. More importantly, to me, the furniture and beds were very comfortable!
The kitchen is a delight. Filled with beautiful appliances, nice dishes, a large selection of bourbon and wine glasses and an over-the-top coffee station.
Parking was easy and we were close to a huge selection of unique restaurants.
Highly recommend staying here!
Our host - Eric was amazing. He communicated regularly with us throughout our stay to ensure everything was ok. We are a large family and this home was perfect for us, plenty of comfortable bedrooms, baths and other seating areas so no one felt on top of each other. Perfectly stocked kitchen, although we didn't eat in much because the neighborhood is surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars (highly recommend). Thanks for opening this home up to visitors, we will be back!

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Host called night before arrival stating this listing was not available but the one he had for us was much better and he wouldn't charge the higher price. If the switched unit was better, cannot imagine the original unit. We accepted the switch since it was late the night prior, we had multiple commitments, and had no other choice but to stay. The only positive points were the location, bathroom/showers and appliances. Instead of one large home we had two separate units on the second floor of a building in need of significant repair. Furniture was old and dirty, no dinning room table or a place for 5 to enjoy a meal, ( Host did bring a grill up to the unit but we had no eating area). Smaller unit had no stove, larger had no cutlery, front entry porch had a broken window, cracked cement and debris on stairway, actual porch was filthy. Back patio had old broken down wicker furniture with one having seat completely broken through. One bedroom lamp missing bulb & switch and closet with linens loose on the floor. Called VRBO. They had no information regarding a switch of property. Requested a refund, host did a lot of talking esp about his success. In the end said he would refund 20% of his earnings. Not sure what that included i.e. cleaning fee, extra linen cleaning fee for ordinary linens? Nothing received. His partner did reach out to offer discounts on a return stay. We declined. Bottom line, horrible experience. Will not use this group or host again.
This home was perfect for our large family of 8, plus an additional two adults. The two couple's had their own rooms, and the kids had their own space as well, with a bed for everyone. Accomodations were surface clean and tidy, and having the washer and dryer came in handy! The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful, and I felt safe enough to walk with the kids to some of the local eateries.
Communication with host was amazing, and when we had a slight issue with something he was right there to fix it. Overall I rate it 5 stars!
This house delivers a range of sleeping, gathering, and dining spaces, plus it is adjacent to a grocery, near parks and restaurants, with ample parking out front, and a kitchen stocked with enough place settings and cooking gear for a large family meal. Could not be better -- thanks BNB Louisville!!
A group of friends stayed for a bourbon and horse race weekend. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. The home is an older 3 story Kentucky charmer. It needs some love but great for our group.
