This extra large one bedroom home offers 2 living areas with 2 queen sized sleeper sofas. The updated kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances is fully functional for an intimate dinner party. Every room boasts its own flat screen TV. (65 inch in main living area). even the bathroom offers a TV for viewing.
The atmosphere at the home is very relaxed and calm, when setting up the place, I would catch myself sitting at the kitchen bar and staring at the water, mesmerized almost like in a trance. It was so peaceful, I never wanted to leave after being there for awhile.

Amazing stay

Once again, had an amazing stay at this house. We love the location, the house is so cute and inviting, and we can drive to whatever distillery we want! Highly recommend.

Overall good experience-

Had a very pleasant stay- wish the weather was better so I could enjoy the back deck and river view. Property was clean, well equipped, decorated and had nice areas to relax in. James is amazing as a property manager-can’t say enough about his speed of response, care for his guests and general hospitality!

River House Relaxation

I needed a break and this was the place. Loved the beautiful sunset over the river, the lapping of the water heard from the deck. The property manager paid a great deal of attention to the experience. I will consider it for one of my company retreats (a very small company!) in the future.

What a view!!!

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The house was very comfortable and the view was amazing. If we ever return to Louisville, we plan on staying here again.

Beautiful Location / Cozy Place

We enjoyed staying at this house on the river. It was so cozy and comfortable. Close to downtown so you can easily get to many locations in 10-15mins. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Great little place

The place was wonderful. Very convenient to the city and highways. Gorgeous view of the river and downtown Louisville. The only issue is it's right off a relatively busy road with a 45mph limit so if you're a light sleeper it might be a problem. If we come back to Louisville we will definitely stay here again!

Weekend Getaway

Love this relaxing and well appointed rental. Great location that’s close to dining and located directly on the Ohio River. Amazing sunset views plus it’s always fun to watch the river traffic - barges, the Captains Quarters dinner boat, the Belle of Louisville and more. We are repeat guests and as usual, Rivers Edge did not disappoint.

Great property and location.

Went to Louisville for an extended weekend getaway and would definitely recommend this property for anyone traveling as a couple or individual. The views of the river are incredible and the property was in good condition. The location was great...we felt like we were 10-15 minutes away from basically anything we wanted to do in the city. It is right by the road but the noise of the street didn't bother us too much at night. Would recommend this as a great place to stay

FANTASTIC RIVER HOUSE

Fantastic River House! It was great visiting my hometown and being able to relax and enjoy the best view in Louisville! This place is perfectly located, was clean, and just like described and as in the online photos. I hope this place is available during my next visit home. James, the host was great! Super easy to check in and out.

My wife and I stayed at the River House for 4 nights. I was extremely impressed with the view, location and having all the comforts of home right at our fingertips. Wonderful riverside retreat

A great riverside location, with expansive river views and only 10mins to downtown Louisville. The sunsets were epic and there was always something to see on the river. Well appointed kitchen and electronics. Definitely worth considering.

Beautiful Views

My family and I visited the area and were thrilled to be able to stay in this beautiful home for a long weekend. The views from the back of the house are picturesque and peaceful. We spent our evenings watching the water and the boats as they went by. The house is perfect in every way. It is decorated wonderfully. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and eating dinner at the large bar. When we are back in the area, I look forward to staying here again!

3 Night Stay

Well decorated and nicely provisioned property located directly on the Ohio River. Location is great - is convenient to many restaurants and just a few miles from Louisville. James responds quickly in the rare event you have a question. View is fantastic! Seeing the beautiful sunsets and watchid barges pass was very entertaining. This was our 3rd visit and won't be our last.

Perfection

How can you improve on perfection. Loved this place and all the critters we saw including deer, something swimming in the river and the birds. Always something to see especially the barges in all different sizes and shapes. Everything was taken care of and it worked perfectly. Loved it! We will be back.

Location & View!

We loved our stay at the River's Edge Oasis. It was private, quiet, safe, spacious and had an incredible view (the entire back side of the house was glass) of the river with Downtown Louisville in the distance. The decor was outstanding and all of the little touches (numerous!) to make us comfortable were so appreciated. We were a short drive to all of the attractions we sought in Louisville and to the local grocery store. The neighborhood is stunning - we enjoyed driving around and through neighborhoods of beautiful homes and endless fences. Don't hesitate to book this gem!!

Relaxing

We really enjoyed sitting on deck eating our meals taking in all that the river has to offer. Inside was very pleasant also with full views of the river. The only glitch was losing electricity due to a storm of course over which no one had control. James was very helpful under the circumstances by bringing us flashlights and some battery operated lights. He even offered to move us to another location but we liked it so much there that we chose to stay.

Lovely views, close to everything

This was a very well-appointed home along the river. It was a very short drive to restaurants, nature trails, and the pedestrian bridge area. Road noise was present, but didn’t bother us. The entrance to the home faced the river, which was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. Our kids appreciated each having their own sofa beds in the main room. We weren’t our usual communicative selves, but the hosts were very communicative and responsive. After another VRBO bailed on us this was the find that saved our weekend. Would book again. Thank you!
