Such a lovely stay at the Market Street Inn. A very charming, comfortable and feels like home kind of place. Carol and Steve are just the kindest owners. They were responsive and accommodating and always available if needed. We also loved meeting Lisa, who made breakfast each morning and took care of any housekeeping needs. We felt like we were treated as family and not just guests. The area and location is perfect, SUCH a cute little town. Plenty of restaurants, shops and entertainment within just a few minutes walking distance. The park next door is beautiful with all the colorful lights at night and walking bridge. It was really nice to be just minutes away from downtown, but in a slower paced, safe and beautiful neighborhood. I have already talked to Carol about booking again next year when we're back in the area!
Loved everything about our stay. The room was fantastic, clean, roomy. Enjoyed the fireplace in both the bedroom and bathroom. Had a good soak in the whirlpool. Great location near river walkway, restaurants (good brewery).
Staff was incredibly nice and friendly, went the extra mile. Loved talking to Lisa every morning. Good cook and was always helpful.
Beautiful maintained property in nice area within walking distance to restaurants. Service levels were excellent and made us feel very at home. Rooms were comfy and clean, overall was excellent value for money.
This is a beautiful old bed and breakfast that is well maintained by their wonderful staff. The breakfast is amazing, and the owners are very helpful and kind. It was a treat to stay here, beds were comfortable, it was very clean and convenient to everything. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The owner, Carol, and her husband have done an amazing job restoring the building. The woodwork alone is art!
Breakfast offered lots of options, was prepared to order, and was the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Our server, Lisa, was friendly, personable, and efficient.
I enjoyed my stay, however the breakfast portion was very small even for a petite person like myself, I was still very hungry after breakfast. There was a cleaning issue with the bathroom that was overlooked by the cleaning staff that I alerted the owners to that will hopefully be fixed for future visitors. The house is great and very clean overall. The owners are very nice.
The proprietors are warm and friendly. The property is quaint and slightly secluded, but centrally located. It's an easy walk to wonderful eateries. Enjoyed walking the bridge to Kentucky.
Highly recommend this property.
Very clean and quiet. Easy to find, parking was close. A lot of food options close by. Loved the walking bridge that was close. Bed was too hard and the room was too warm but the breakfast and coffee were delicious! Very hospitable and will come back in warmer weather to enjoy the rooftop patio!
Beautifully restored house with spacious, clean rooms. The staff were all extremely nice and accommodating. They even thought of all the little things that make a B&B special like leaving rain ponchos out for the guests on rainy days and leaving a variety of freshly baked goods out for late night snacks. It was a 15 minute ride to Churchill Downs and 5 minutes from downtown Louisville. But, there were many restaurants and pubs in short walking distance. I highly recommend the Market Street Inn.
Charming and quaint B and B in a historical building within walking distance of a cute little town right outside of Louisville. Felt like taking a trip back in time. The owner was a sweetheart and made a delicious breakfast spread. We stayed in the executive suite and it was gorgeous with a bathroom to die for. The bidet was an experience and super high tech…it actually played music while warming our feet and tushies. The shower had enough room and shower heads for two people. My 6’2” boyfriend was pleasantly impressed by the massive tub in the middle of the bathroom as he isn’t able to fit in ours back home. All in all it was a romantic and fun stay. Wish we had stayed for another night, but we were meeting the rest of our family in Louisville to hit the bourbon trail right across the bridge. Definitely will be back!
