Great stay for Kentucky Derby

It was quick drive to derby. Loved the cute neighborhood. Mexican restaurant was great and so was coffee shop! Bed was comfortable we got a good night sleep. Kitchen was big and had everything.

Great Location

This was a great location for a visit that took me back and forth between Louisville and Frankfort/Midway. The apartment was just as expected in great location in Shelbyville. Would stay again.

Thanksgiving Bourbon Weekend

We were over joyed with this property. We have never really had good luck and to be honest my wife did not want me to book. But this cozy, clean, home away from home suite in the middle of Shelbyville was beyond our expectation's. If you’re looking for a place to stay for a get-away bourbon weekend this is definitely the place . We will be back

Perfect weekend stay

This location was the perfect walking distance to the rehearsal dinner and wedding at The Gatsby down the street. Very clean and cute room. Really cool downtown area! The only downside was the mattress was not very comfortable to me, but if you like a firm bed is probably your jam!

Cute little town

We had a great stay in Shelbyville! We were in Kentucky due to my daughter's college soccer team playing on Friday and Sunday. We searched out a little town that would have things for us to do and we landed on Shelbyville. The apartment was perfect for a 2 night stay. It was clean and comfortable. It is located right on the town's Main Street so we were able to walk and enjoy the little town. We loved La Cocina Mama so much we went there twice! My husband enjoyed coffee and breakfast at Paddington's. And shout out to Moonstone Tattoo and Piercing Parlor for fitting us both in for tattoos....a great experience and great price!

10/10 Would Recommend!

I'm from Shelbyville, born and raised. I now live in South Carolina and come home frequently to visit family. This holiday season, as my grandmother was in poor health, I chose to rent this stay to allow more out of town family members the opportunity to stay at my grandmother's. This was a very emotional and difficult trip. Gerald and Michelle were amazing! They were quick to respond and were compassionate to my circumstance. They were sure to decorate the apartment for the holidays so I could have some cheer upon arriving home each night. Access was easy and the accommodations were clean with the biggest most comfy extra blanket I've ever used! I'd forgotten how cute downtown Shelbyville is, especially during the holidays! The employees at the coffee shop downstairs were very hospitable and an absolute delight to see each morning. Parking was a breeze! 10/10 would recommend this stay at this location to anyone! Thank you Gerald and Michelle for a little extra sparkle this Christmas!

Nice, quaint apartment

Property was perfect for my wife and me. Right in the heart of downtown Shelbyville with a coffeeshop next door, bar one block over, and the Bell House Restaurant practically across the street. We were 30 minutes Louisville and within 30 minutes to a number of distilleries. Only complaint is the mattress. As quality as this place is, it should have a higher quality mattress.

Excellent Stay with the Kentucky Touch!

My wife and I visited Shelbyville with some friends for a much needed R&R with a little site seeing and bourbon tours of course. I found Gerald and Michelle’s place on VRBO and it looked exactly what we wanted. The place was awesome. Excellent condition and that Kentucky feel that made us fee right at home. The pictures don’t do justice. Wait until your inside! The entire place was very clean and well organized. It was everything we needed for the short stay that we had planned. The kitchen looked like it was just redone and it looks amazing. As we went out for food, we find it get to enjoy the kitchen to the fullest but it sure looked like it would serve us well. A few thing that just made our stay top notch. We ended up coming in early and also got a rental car. (2 things we didn’t plan for) I got in contact with Gerald and asked if we could come early and also park in the lot. Both were granted and we were soo thankful for that. The other thing that made our stay very welcome was the connection with the owners. They checked in each day to see if they needed anything which felt very assuring of our stay. We had everything we needed and more. The information that they gave us before our stay was super helpful. They told us about some great restaurants in the area (which we highly recommend) the coffe shops and parking information. All was very helpful. Overall we were very, very happy to be in Shelbyville. This was an excellent experience and we have talked about making this an annual trip! For those coming into town, we felt that this was the 1/2 way point to visit all the bourbon tours in the area. Great and safe place to stay! Thank you to Gerald and Michelle for ever hung that you did to make our experience a success! We will be back! HIGHLY Recommended!

Once we got to the location, it was very easy getting in to the building and into our room, it felt as if we had all the essentials ready for us and didn’t have to worry about anything. Amazing place to stay.
