    Alfresco's private and peaceful guesthouse in the heart of the Highlands is within walking distance to some of Louisville's favorite coffee shops, restaurants, and night life. Enjoy the arts, entertainment, and food of one of Louisville's most eclectic neighborhoods, or take a short drive to NuLu or downtown to explore all the city has to offer.

    The Space:
    Welcome to your quaint escape. The guesthouse has a comfy queen bed, seating area with table and sofa, kitchenette, and an urban getaway's coveted feature-- private parking! Alfresco is perfect for solo travelers or couples who want a simple and relaxed stay while exploring the city.

    Guest Access:
    The apartment has a smart lock keypad for self check-in with a unique access code that last only the duration of guests' stays for safety and peace of mind.

    The access code will be sent 15 minutes before your scheduled arrival time.

    The Neighborhood:
    The Highlands is one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Louisville, and for good reason: it has amazing food, a hip atmosphere, and is the perfect place to find out why “Keep Louisville Weird” is one of the city’s slogans! If you want to go barhopping, visit Cherokee Park, admire street art, or stroll along streets lined with eclectic shops, this is the spot.

    Getting Around:
    The address is 1913 Alfresco Place.

    The private parking area is in the alley behind the house, between Alfresco Pl and Richmond Dr. Park in the driveway adjacent to the garage.

    Other Things to Note:
    We offer free private parking in the driveway off the alley behind the house. This stay is located above a residential garage and stairs are required to access.

    Want to start your trip early or sleep in on your last morning? We’re happy to accommodate an early check-in or late checkout if arranged in advance! Our standard check-in time is 4:00pm, and our checkout time is 10:00am – we charge 10% of the nightly rate per hour (with a minimum of $20/hour) to adjust our cleaners’ schedules and arrange this service.

    Interaction with Guests:
    We'll contact you to confirm your reservation through your inbox and the cell phone/email registered to your account. If you need anything, respond to one of those threads and our team is happy to help!

Lovely little guest house. Quiet, pretty neighborhood in the Highlands, very convenient if walking or using the TARC. The house was well equipped and the bed very comfy. All of our dealings with Matt were very pleasant. We will recommend to friends and family and look to stay again ourselves in the future!

Great location!

Couldn’t have been located better! We were able to walk to dinner twice and see one of the most eclectic parts of Louisville by being on Bardstown Rd, all while having a quiet stay. The room had everything we needed and was easy to get in and out of!

In a good neighborhood and was all we needed for this trip. It is not a place you hang out at a lot, more of a place to sleep and shower. The only downside is the shower water pressure. It's really bad. My wife couldn't wash her hair if she had wanted to

Great location! Clean! Wish there would have been a keurig or coffee maker so we could have bought some coffee for our stay. It was nice outside and not a far walk to coffee so it wasn’t too bad in the morning but having the ability to make it instead would go a long way. Seems like an easy add because there is a nice little sink area. Other than that it was great!

Very quaint

Very quiet and clean. Nona be to enjoy beautiful weather as the yard is not shared. Garage door opening under you is really loud so there is no sleeping in cone 8:00 am. Did cross paths with owner and she was very kind . Accommodated my hurricane stay extension and thankful for that

Loft above garage

Small loft above a garage. Seemed to be a nice neighborhood until I woke up in the morning and found my car was stolen. Message property manager about information for police but no cameras in the alley you have to park in
