"The room was tiny but fine. Rustic. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice. The carpet in the halls is less than fine. Might have been red at some point but is now black from age. Location was great for walking to the water and food and shopping. Staff was there but not as warm as most hospitality staff I found. Maybe because we didn’t speak much English. lol. That’s on me. If you have a tight budget it is clean and location is great. Air conditioning worked. Wifi worked. Breakfast was good. Kitchen staff were very sweet. "

"The home is very comfortable and a great location between Montevideo and Punta del Este. The closest town is Piriapolis, about 7 minutes' drive and the beaches there are very nice. The beach at the home is also nice for sunbathing, but it's very rocky and not suitable for swimming. There are restaurants up and down the coast and one winery close by, Cerro Del Torro, that offers lunch and tasting. The other wineries are about 90 minutes' drive, and we explored a few of them during our stay. Our host Bruno was very friendly and responsive as well. I would highly recommend his home."
