Authentic Andalucian village experience
Stefan and Naomi have created a little paradise in this authentically rebuilt village house. The (shared) rooftop patio, cave jacuzzi (bit too cool in october) and garden courtyard were magical and the units were very well finished. The unit was larger than pictures suggested. Great base for our week of exploring ang road cycling.

Wonderful place and time
Property is beautiful. Restoration is very well done with lots of nice touches. We'll equipped and plunge pool and terrace we're a great place to chill. Village is quiet and remote but welcoming. You need to be able to manage stairs OK. The village and property has lots of them. Tha is for a great stay Stefan and Naomi.

Unique, quiet, rural
It was nice to be in a small Spanish village. Very comfortable. It was a bit cold, so we were glad to have a wood burning stove for a couple of evenings. The deck on top is full of warm sunshine during the day. It was difficult to think about going anywhere else. We did have a great 3 hour walk up to some great ruins and through the other nearby town. Great loop. An hour drive to a tour of the Alhambra in Grenada. We also drove through the mountains on one of our favorite "shortcuts" on our way to Seville. Looks like lots of hiking and adventuring to be had. This is a great place to get some relief from the big cities and crowds. Thanks, Stefan and Naomi.

Kids loved the cave plunge pool
We had a lovely time in the house - we rented both parts of the house so didn't have any of the 'sharing' woes I read in the previous reports. The selling feature, the cave plunge pool, did not disappoint, the kids absolutely loved it. We enjoyed relaxing evenings on the terrace and slept well on comfortable beds.

Nice home Nice country Nice people but....
We have been welcome by Stefan and Naomi.the house has been transformed with love and courage.we regret a few things = no air conditionned, and thé température is high....thé house is far from thé place where we can park the car and it is hard when you have luggage and food to take with you.and thé most important we shared the space with another family.it would be Nice to announce thèse details .for the rest no problem.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful mountain village
Our 2-night stay at Casa Del Sol was a wonderful experience. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stefan and Naomi. They showed us the property, answered all our questions, and suggested hikes and places to see in the area. Their property has two units: Del Sol (which we stayed at) and Estrella (which was vacant during our stay). In effect, we had complete privacy the entire two days. The property which Stefan and Naomi built from a ruin is stunning. The design and construction show great imagination and use of space, as well as wonderful artistic touches all around. Del Sol is very well equipped and furnished. Everything is immaculately clean and in perfect working order. The inner courtyard and the roof-top terrace are full of beautiful plants and flowers. The entire area is a bird-lovers paradise. No one we met in the village (except for our hosts) spoke any English, but everyone was super friendly and kind. The walk to the ruins of the hilltop Castillo is not to be missed: it is incredibly scenic and offers stunning views. Del Sol was our base for visiting Granada and Alhambra (45 min drive). The drive to the coast takes about the same time, and all roads in the area are very well maintained and spectacularly scenic.

Traumhafte Unterkunft
Wir haben unsere Zeit im Haus "Sol" sehr genossen. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail in landestypischem Stil eingerichtet, alles ausgesprochen hübsch und wohnlich - und sehr geräumig noch dazu. Mit dem netten Essplatz vor dem Eingang und einer sehr großen, mit vielen Pflanzen geschmückten Dachterrasse (mit mehreren Liegen und überdachten Esstischen) steht zusätzlich viel Platz für einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt zur Verfügung. Den einladenden kleinen Pool haben wir nur einmal genutzt, da es Mitte Mai einfach noch zu kalt war. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und kümmern sich offenkundig mit großem Einsatz um das Objekt, so war alles jederzeit sehr sauber und gepflegt. Guájar-Faragüit ist ein ruhiges, kleines Dorf mitten in der Natur, über die kurvige Bergstrecke erreicht man aber in 15 bis 20 Minuten die "schnellen Straßen" Richtung Granada und Küste. Wir waren rundum äußerst zufrieden und würden einen Aufenthalt jederzeit uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Herzlichen Dank an Stefan und Naomi!

Herrlicher Aufenthalt in wunderschöner Umgebung
Wir haben 10 Tage im El Sol verbracht. Das Haus ist liebevoll restauriert und Stefan und Naomi sind tolle und herzliche Gastgeber, die uns mit vielen Tipps und Informationen begleitet haben. Die Umgebung ist einfach atemberaubend schön, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Wer Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit kombiniert mit spanischer Lebensfreude sucht, ist hier genau richtig.
