Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Muy hermosa la habitación, dentro del bosque."

Trogon Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"The rooms though small were well maintained and still large enough. The food was fantastic and the staff was very intensive The property is very well maintained. Only drawback was that the internet is only in certain areas. I had some unexpected work to do and had to do it in the bar because internet was not available in my room"

A Jungle Villa, 5-8 BR, full staff, Toucans, Mountains and Emerald Canyon access

10/10 Excellent

"What a relaxing, peaceful, yet adventurous time we had. Four of us (one couple and two singles) spent three nights in this luxurious "villa," which is a tropical, open-air mansion on a hillside in the jungle. We had our own large and very clean rooms to choose from with several others to spare. During the day, we hiked to two different waterfalls near the villa (the adventure part!), and at night, we enjoyed the serenity of the hot tub and swimming pool. We were lulled to sleep by frogs and awakened by birds and a couple howler monkeys in the distance. Also mention-worthy was the delicious and hearty Costa Rican-style breakfast made by a staff member in the villa's kitchen. We had full access to the kitchen during our stay, and we made our own lunches and dinners. The on-site caretaker and the remote host were always available and quick to answer any questions we had. This was the vacation we needed, and we were so lucky we chose the perfect place to stay."

Canavida Villas & Resort

10/10 Excellent

"What an amazing piece of paradise! The property is stunning and the staff is very friendly and informative. I would say a 4x4 vehicle is required, especially in the rainy season. We saw tons of birds and enjoyed listening to the howler monkeys in the morning from the porch. I would definitely stay again and refer my friends!"

Hotel de Montaña Suria

10/10 Excellent

"Increíble, espectacular solo les recomendaría dividir las cabañas en 2 tipos, las cabañas para gente con familias, hijos, perros y suegros 😂😂😂😂y otra sesión quizá las Villas Mountain View dejarlas únicamente para la parejas ya que mi esposo y yo fuimos en plan romántico sin hijos y en la cabaña de a la par colocaron a una familia con hijos que corrían y gritaban de un lado a otro."

Oceanview-Rainforest Villa, Full Privacy, Concierge, Breakfast/Housekeeping M-F.

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at MadreSelva was amazing. We were a bit nervous about having Carolina and Rume around the house during the week but they took care of the house and grounds beautifully and discreetly. We hardly knew the were there and yet took care of our breakfast and did light housekeeping and laundry during the week. It made our trip that much more pleasurable. All the previous homes we've stayed in provided A/C in the bedrooms of which we were hoping for; however, the two front bedrooms definitely did not need A/C. The back bedrooms didn't get the same air flow but there were portable fans in the rooms to help keep the air flowing.Overall, I would give this home a 5-star rating. There was plenty of space for our party of 10 people so we could spread out. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The bedrooms had comfortable beds (I would suggest replacing some or all of the pillows as they were quite flat), and overall comfortable living areas indoors and outdoors. The view was incredible and the house is quite secluded which is a huge plus! We would definitely stay at this home again!"

Macho Mora Mountain Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. "
