"Me and my girlfriend spent a few nights in one of the apartments. Before arriving Ana, that manage, the hotel and apartment sent us a very helpful email with information about check in, parking, breakfast places etc. Upon arrival Ana took us to the apartment, which was spotless clean and exactly as the images. We received some great local recommendations of places to visit from Ana, and we had a few lovely days in Vejer. Thank you Ana for a great stay and we hoe to come back one day! /Henrik"

"Pros: Location and appartment were ideal for us two. And Juan and his wife were most friendly, welcoming and discreet, the perfect hosts. I’d highly recommend the place for anyone who wants to enjoy Barbate, its beach, and the ruta del atún and the feria Cons: First night the music from the Feria could be heard from anywhere in town. Not much one can do about it but it’s something to consider"

"Pros: El apartamento tiene todo lo necesario, es moderno y muy cómodo. No le falta un detalle. La ubicación genial porque está retirado del jaleo del centro pero llegas en 5 minutos. Justo al lado hay una churrería, pastelería, supermercado...todo lo que se necesita, fácil aparcamiento...pero sobre todo la atención de María José fue muy buena. "We really enjoyed our stay here! We chose the half-board option, and both the food and drinks were excellent. The beach was absolutely amazing as well, which made the experience even better. The only area that could be improved is the cleanliness of the plates and glasses during breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, we noticed that some of them were not as clean as they should have been. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend the hotel. With a little more attention to the cleanliness of the tableware, the experience would be even better"

"This hotel is very nice and has beautiful grounds. I would say for a five star hotel, the lobby and common areas need serious updating. The seating around the hotel is a bunch of hodgepodge decoration. My biggest complaint, however, is the food. For being a five star hotel, the quality of the food was low and frankly tasteless. A salad we ordered consisted of canned veggies. Furthermore, we decided to try that Saturday night buffet at 75 euros per person - a total ripoff! The food quality was mediocre at best and everything we tried was just average or tasteless. This is a nice hotel but if you stay here, plan to eat at outside restaurants for nice food."

Grupotel Conil Playa - Adults Only Recommended

"Gruphotel Conil Playa was our first ever Adults-only hotel experience and it was nice not having splashing, noisy kids at the pool for a change. This property is only 5-years old, super modern and airy, spacious with beautiful fish sculptures honoring the “Atún Rojo” (bluefin tuna) for which this region is famous. Our partial sea view room with balcony was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was better than any we’ve ever seen, including bottles of open Cava (Spanish bubbly) that can be paired with nearby orange juice for a Mimosa, if desired. Made to order omelette station or ready-made freshly fried eggs (instead of scrambled eggs under a hood). We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Snack Bar and a dip in one of their multiple pools and sun bathing. Our beach time was with friends in nearby Palmar, so we didn’t walk down the path (and stairs?) to the hotel’s nearby beach. This is a hotel and chain that we will gladly book again in our future travels!"
