It’s own little private cove with a beautiful beach. My room was awesome and the view was amazing. Food was very good. The surfboard rental could use some better boards. Paddle boards were horrible. I was surprised by that.

Nice hotel on a beautiful beach. Very clean and well kept. Rooms were beautiful. Only downside is it’s quiet noisy. Major construction going on next door and lots of traffic noise. Waves help drown this out. Also, not really a walkable area.

Outstanding hotel and restaurant.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay immensely. This is a jewel of a place. We had an oceanfront room on the second floor with a good sized balcony. Very well appointed room. The service was great, the people so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is outstanding, with great food and a large staff. It seemed like we had 4 or 5 people waiting on us. Grito and Angel were as good as any I have encountered. We had dinner there a couple of years ago, a referral from a friend who goes to Cabo often. We liked it so much we decided to stay there. We were not disappointed, and will stay there every time. There is a 24 hour, manned security gate, and the hotel and restaurant were spotless. Very nice location also.

I was really disappointed with the front desk and management of the hotel. As a solo female traveler, I was asked repeatedly if I have a boyfriend or husband or with me from front desk staff, and was quite judged like that was a problem. They seem disorganized as a few problems came up and no one passed messages to one another. Definitely worth noting that the wait staff for the restaurant are extremely lovely and kind. Food is insanely overpriced and not that great. Given some interactions with the front desk staff and the management I would not come back. The rooms are nice but not worth the nightly rate.

The hotel was very quaint and small which we very much liked. We do not like the large resort feel so this works for people who want more privacy. There was lots of construction surrounding this hotel but it was not very loud. Cabo Surf is almost dwarfed by surrounding higher buildings most certainly a sign of the times but also occurring all around Cabo which is unfortunate. Hotel does need some updating especially in the health club which had broken and old machines and the quiet pool area. The front desk staff could be more polite and personable. They were often confused. Diana, our contact, was excellent and the restaurant staff was superb as were the meals at the hotel restaurant. Could also use some pool side service,etc, but I was just as happy to walk to the bar. Hope this hotel can maintain its charm and presence as it’s location is prime. If Cabo becomes the new Cancun, we would not be returning. The town of San Jose Del Cabo has so much beauty and history, it would be such a shame to lose this for those of us who appreciate Mexican culture.

Very nice hotel right on the beach. Our room was perfect and had a balcony that looked out over the gulf. My husband surfed every day, and I enjoyed the pools, hot tubs, and fitness center. The 7 Seas restaurant has a great menu for breakfast (favorite was chicken enchiladas) and dinner (steak and ahi), and a great selection of wine. The hotel is about 10 minutes from San Jose del Cabo, and 30 from Cabo San Lucas. We rented a car, but were advised for future visits to take a taxi or shuttle to the hotel and they would arrange a rental car from the hotel. This is supposed to be easier and cheaper than getting a rental car from the hotel, and we will likely try this on our next visit. Overall, this was a great hotel that comes highly recommended.

The Cabo Surf Hotel is the perfect location for surfing Old Man’s or Zippers. Nice enough but other than that, it’s overpriced. Restaurant is fair at best.
