"Overall, it was a great experience! The staff was very nice and helpful. They are going through some renovations right now, but even with this it was not too much of disturbance. Would love to come back soon!"
"Our stay was amazing. We just needed a quick weekend away, spur of the moment, and Lenny (owner) went above and beyond to help us enjoy every second. Clean, spacious, and relaxing. Breakfast at Chef Darrell's Diner was top notch. Great hike, and tree frogs at night. So perfect. Thank you so much! "
Cozy 2-bedroom cabin plus bunk house in the central Adirondacks, Long Lake
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Base Camp in Long Lake and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place in the Adirondacks. We traveled as a family of six. Everything about the experience felt easy and well thought out by the owners. Before we even arrived, communication was smooth and straightforward. They were responsive, which made planning the trip simple. All the details we needed for check-in and the stay were clearly explained ahead of time. When we got to the cabin, the first thing we noticed was how clean and well-kept everything was. It matched the listing perfectly and felt very welcoming right away. The space worked really well for our group. With six people, it can be tough to find a place that feels comfortable, but this cabin managed to do both especially with the bunkhouse for the kids. We spent a lot of time in the main cabin and the upstairs master bed was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the pans and utensils were better than expected. It was well-stocked. The location was also perfect, centrally located in the Adirondacks in the quaint town of Long Lake with close hikes of Buttermilk Falls, Blue Mountain, and a great suprise hiking Ok Slip Falls...well worth the hike! We also really enjoyed eating at the Adirondack Hotel just minutes away. It felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, which we wanted, but was so close to the amenities in town. "
"The cabin is so cozy. Loved the fireplace and convenience to Tupper, Saranac, and lake Placid. Great place to stay if you have a student at the Ranger School in Wanakana (Cranberry Lake) as well. Great day hikes close by. Internet is fast if you have any work meetings. The kitchen pots and pans were also great - chef grade. Water cooler was also a great touch. All of the couches and chairs were comfy for family movie nights in the evening. And there was plenty of seating for everyone. Wish we could have used the screen porch more but it snowed and was chilly when we were there. There is a little stream that runs down that side of the cabin and it is so tranquil. "

"Camp Twosome was the perfect spot to spend a cozy, end of winter, romantic birthday weekend! The cabin is well equipped, with an extremely comfortable Queen bed, a cozy window seat & everything you might need to prepare a full meal. The Highlight is the View!!! Like a 200" TV screen, across from the bed, is the most glorious view of the mountains that you could imagine!"

RESTORED HISTORIC ADIRONDACK BIRD CAMP NEAR GORE MT WITH LOVELY MOUNTAIN VIEWS
10/10 Excellent
"The host was welcoming, especially their dogs who were very friendly greeters. My kids enjoyed how friendly they were. I appreciate how easy the home was to access, especially because we got there late at night. It’s a rugged cabin and that is part of the charm. I thought the location was great, close to Gore and the Garnit lodge, cemetery road is nice for walking, very scenic. I imagine it’s a great place in the spring /summer, will possibly return for spring rafting and kayaking. "
