"Started our stay with a great check in. Meet the GM who is a wonderful lady. We chatted a min or two. When we got to our room we were amazed of the space we had. It was clean. Yes a bit dated but very clean and inviting. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed they were correctly sized. We are bigger people and these were queen sized beds which make for plenty of space! Pool as great. Kids enjoyed swimming while we enjoyed the hot tub. Lots to do in the area, even though we were there for a basketball tournament. We needed another blanket and they quickly brought one to us, with a smile! Thank you for the stay. "

"A brand new hotel it was clean and comfortable with few people in residence during the week of end May 2024. I had called the hotel directly to get a price Amazingly almost double the rate I booked through Hotel.com. Handy to all areas of town. Good restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance "

"This hotel is not a luxury hotel but it’s a great old forge stay. Rooms can use some updating but the beds are comfortable and the most of the furnishings are cute and rustic. The biggest draw for me with this hotel is when on the motorcycle you can park at your door, there are gorgeous chairs outside of each room for use and everything is in walking distance. Staff is always really friendly here and it’s just a good simple comfortable good rated stay each time!"

"The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The staff were all extremely hospitable and kind. We partook in the (free!) s’mores kits by a roaring fire outside, enjoyed a breakfast basket in the morning served with a Stanley thermos full of delicious coffee, and in general loved lake placid. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! "

"We loved staying at the Trailhead by Weekender. Easy getting into the room, wonderful bed, clean and quiet. I loved that there were no spiders or bugs in the room! The only thing I would suggest is to have a lighter blanket available rather than just the heavy comforter - it took us until the second night to figure out the A/C and Heat in the room and the first night I was very warm. I loved the decor and the black ceiling! We'll stay again! Diane Hecht"
