"While Expedia listed our room as “not in main building, canal view”, there was no indication on the map of the property that our room would be in a building across a road with vehicles traveling 55+mph. The staff was kind and the property nice, but we were disappointed to have to either watch for speeding vehicles or get in our car to drive and park the car in order to sit by the water. The main property was relaxing, but it felt stressful to know we couldn’t walk out of our room and get to the beach, on site restaurant, or amenities without crossing the busy main road, especially at night for dinner. With my two sons along, I didn’t feel comfortable sending them across to the main areas without accompanying them. The one bedroom was large and our outdoor balcony was very nice and spacious. It may have been on me to figure out that we had to cross the street to get to the water, but the map was definitely not clear upon booking. "

"Our villa was not clean upon arrival at 10pm. We had to ask for new sheets, every bed had dirty sheets. The main bathroom mirror was dirty from the prior people brushing their teeth, there was a dirty dried wash cloth hanging over the shower rod, the sink was also dirty in the master bath. We used the pull out couch and it was covered with crumbs and dirt. I’ve never been so disgusted with a rental. The fact we paid the amount we did only to be told that they couldn’t do anything is ridiculous. We will not be back. "

"Ocean view, clean and spacious. Convenient parking out front. Staff was very friendly and was available to answer any questions. Disappointed though that the restaurant was not operating nor the Tiki Bar. Our cottage was not outfitted with a blender or kettle. "

"Perfect spot to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Sparkling clean, beds were super comfy, great shower. Relaxing tiki hut with patio dinette and refrigerator for refreshments to enjoy the beautiful warm breezes. Really enjoyed the small friendly community on the Gulf with all the amenities to enjoy. Never bored! Perfect central Keys location, close to everything. Our host Shaq made sure everything went smoothly before and during our stay. Definitely would stay again!"

"Beach view"

"We booked a newly renovated 1 queen bed and 2 twin, 2 bedroom villa. The twin room was SO small they had the beds touching each other pushed into a corner, and there was only about 12 inches of space between the bed and wall to walk to the bathroom. No room for luggage, and they had to be put in the closet. There was a dresser that we had to put in hallway bc we couldn't even open the door all the way. Pictures were very deceiving. Another family we met at pool booked a 2 Queen room with pullout sofa (family of 5) and they gave them a King room and put air mattresses on the floor. Staff was moody, pool and paddle boards were fun. Book with caution. "

"This place is clean. Staff was great. Close to the water but not really a beach you can get to. More like for tanning. The pool is saltwater and was nice and warm. A bar would have been a nice plus. I would stay again. "

"The traffic noise from HWY 1 is terrible. You are very close to the road which has motorcycles and semis going by all day. VERY LOUD! We ask the host to cancel our 2 nd and 3rd month of rental because we couldn’t sleep. They refused. Nowhere in the listing does it mention being that close to the loud road. We ended up having to stay at another VRBO to get peace. We use VRBO a lot and never wrote a bad review before. This property was not clean, was loud and cluttered with furniture. We would never stay here again. "

"The listing is a little confusing as we thought we were renting the upstairs unit but actually had the lower level. Despite the initial confusion we still enjoyed the property. There is plenty of space outside with a hammock, Adirondack chairs, and dining areas that provide a perfect view of the sunset. "
