The property afforded us a great view overlooking the small city of Saraguro. It is a part of the very interesting indigenous tourism project in the area that focuses on telling the story of the Saraguro people who had been forcibly moved to the area from their original homes in Bolivia or Peru after being conquered by the Incas. The staff was helpful in organizing a day trip into the rural areas around the city to observe several slices of rural Saraguro life.
