Stunning views
The cottage is on a hill side overlooking the harbour and the views from the small deck are beautiful at anytime.the drive up to the cottage is extremely steep and narrow and the turning point at the top is limited. Inside the cottage is spacious and light, but some areas need an update, especially the kitchen. The weather was good and we enjoyed our time there.

Great view although the harbour can be a little noisy. Property is a little run down but you adjust and it felt comfortable at the end of our stay. Road up to house is very steep and tricky if your car is large or has poor ground clearance, but there is a space by the roadside. Walkable to restaurants in lochinver, just, and mostly lit with a pavement. Small shops in Lochinver were better than I expected.

Relaxing surroundings and wonderful view at Inverallan
We throughly enjoyed our stay. The property was spacious and well equipped, and the bed very comfy but the most appealing aspect was the wonderful view across the bay to Suilven which was spectacular.

The property was well suited to our needs. However, outside maintenance could have been better; some weed removal around the house would improve the look. Also the driveway could have used some updating.

The view didn’t disappoint
The views promised in the description were the reason we booked .. and they didn’t disappoint.. stunning.. and the autumn making the loch even more colourful .. A great base for exploring the area and there are walks of all levels close by .. the property was clean with all amenities as described .. I don’t book the same place twice but may reconsider ..

Beautiful view...
We enjoyed our stay here... the beautiful location and view really made it. The property itself had everything we needed. It was a little tired and dated... some quick repairs and attention to detail would make it even better. Very steep driveway!!

Stunning views but property needs updating
We enjoyed our stay here because the views over the loch to Suilven were amazing. Sitting at the table to eat our meals was very special. The bed was very comfortable and all the equipment worked. However, the property is quite shabby and in desperate need of an update. It was not up to the standard we expect from holiday rentals. You need to be aware of this when booking. That aside, having got over our initial disappointment, we had a very enjoyable stay. We are aware that the family are taking steps each year to make improvements and I’m sure, in time, it will be lovely.

Good location and view to die for but property tired.
Positives include 1)location 2)view to die for 3)Well equipped .4) Proprietor very pleasant and helpful. Negatives. Problems with initial communications with owner and had to call Vrbo in US. Very narrow and very steep drive to house with no room to turn so have to reverse down this on to road. At times lost traction when reversing down in wet. Front door and porch very tired looking and house also needs spruced up. Could not find bags in cupboard to place bed linen in on leaving.

My wife and I had a fabulous stay, we loved the property and the location was sublime.
We had a fab time, location, weather, mountains and beaches all played their part. The property is a perfect holiday home, and we would have no hesitation in renting again. Thank You.

Superb Views
Very nice cabin with all the basics in place. Loverly location and fantastic views. Has everything one would need, the super king bed is fantastic and at last, a place with a decent size telly too - after long days walking nothing better than a good movie. Will certainly recommend.

Great Location
Rented in September with strong winds and some heavy rain, however, the views from the lounge and kitchen were fantastic and being in Lochinver gave us access to the shops as well as various restaurants. Many great walks nearby and the views of the mountains were spectacular.

Good situation
Comfortable and convenient for walkers and climbers . Beautiful views of the mountains when the weather allows. You need to be aware of parking at the roadside unless you have a 4x4........anyone slightly disabled may have difficulty with the short steep drive. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather which was affected by the tail end of 2 hurricanes.

We took the property from Monday to Friday. Tremendous location for everything we wanted to do. As ever, the weather was mixed, but we are more than comfortable regardless. We will be returning, just not sure when! :)

Wonderful week"s holiday.
We loved the cottage, its situation and the surrounding area. The rooms are light and airy with fabulous views of the surrounding mountains, Lochinver village and the sea loch itself. Suilven, Canisp etc are in sight while in the cottage or out on the balcony. Lochinver is an easy walk for shops/meals/pint but not on top of you. The situation is tranquil yet bags of interest surrounds it. There is great walking from the doorstep to a beautiful beach amongst other things. The property is pet friendly and the WiFi, should you require it, was better than ours at home. Just perfect for us for a lovely family holiday and everything we hoped for; so sad to leave today. Would thoroughly recommend Inverallan and Assynt in general.

Good location to explore Assynt and North West Scotland.
House comfortable with all necessities. Short walk from village of Lochinver where there are restaurants and a few shops. Lots of walking options for a wide range of abilities. Some good beaches in easy driving distance (for the summer!) Lots of wildlife to see, including seals in the bay.

A good base for exploring Assynt. Clean inside; comfortable and as per description
Fairly basic, but clean. It is a no frills place, but has a big TV (good for watching the World Cup) and wifi to keep everyone connected. Location is everything - great views and walking distance of Lochinver restaurants.

Top Aussicht und Umgebung
Top Aussicht vom Haus. Eine wundervolle Umbegung mit tollen Wanderungen im Assynt. Das Haus sollte dringend komplett saniert werden. Es funktioniert nicht alles und die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben es so verlassen wie wir es vorgefunden haben. Schade für den Preis.

Trotz der Tatsache , dass die Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Böden erneuert werden müssten, hatten wir wunderschöne Tage in diesem Haus. Noch nie hatten wir so eine grandiose Aussicht in einem Ferienhaus. Die Betten waren sehr bequem ! Ein Metzger und ein kleiner Supermarkt sind fußläufig zu erreichen! Die Umgebung zählt zu den schönsten Schottlands!

In die Jahre gekommen
Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön in der Bucht von Lochinver. Zu Fuß kommt man gut in den Ort und kann auch schöne Wanderungen vom Haus aus starten. Das Bett ist neu und bequem. Der Rest der Einrichtung ist schon ziemlich abgewohnt. Überall Flecken an Tapeten, Türen und auf dem Boden. Schimmel im Bad. In der Küche ist so viel Geschirr, Besteck und Töpfe vorhanden, dass es wohl schwer fällt, dies sauber zu halten. Bei Ankunft starker Geruch nach scharfen Reinigungsmitteln, gemischt mit muffiger Luft. Für den Preis nicht ansprechend. Wir sind eine Nacht früher auf unsere Kosten abgereist.

Herrlicher Ausblick und super wohnen
Die Wegbeschreibung alleine war schon toll. Auf anhieb gefunden. Die Wohnung war super und gemütlich eingerichtet, das Bett sehr bequem und auch sonst war alles vorhanden. Mit dem Vermieter via WhattApp in Verbindung gewesen. Stand also immer zur Verfügung. Der Wintergarten war natürlich der Knaller. Essen mit Aussicht. Und daneben die beiden Sessel, wo man die Fischerboote beim Ein- und Ausfahren beobachten kann. Das Wetter war dazu auch noch super. Es war ein Traum

Ein traumhafter Ausblick und ein gemütliches Haus. Ich würde wiederkommen
Wir waren 4 Tage hier und haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist zum Teil etwas betagt, was uns aber nicht störte. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war freundlich, erfolgte ausschließlich über Email, auf Fragen antwortete er schnell.

fantastische Aussicht, super Ausstattung, klasse Ort
liebevolle Begrüßung, super Infomaterial über die Gegend, geräumig, super Aussicht. Rehe die einem im Garten morgens begrüssen:). Der Ort Lochinver ist auch eine super Mischung aus Abgeschiedenheit und doch mal ein paar Leute sehen ( hat z.B. ein Michelin-Restaurant;) ).
