"This hotel is a 10 minute ride to downtown and the train station. The rooms are great, however there is no air conditioning, which was miserable in the heat of summer. Even if you cool the room down at night by opening doors, for some reason the room heats up again. It was 28.5 degrees Celsius in my room with no way to cool it down. They say they have "cooling units" that they can put in your room, but these are no more than fans that blow hot air around. Staff was pleasant and helpful... when...

Hotel Break Hradec Králové

Hotel Break Hradec Králové

8/10 Good
"I have stayed at this hotel twice—once for 10 nights and the second time for 5 nights. Both of my stays were for business purposes. I appreciated the hotel's location, the complimentary parking, the excellent breakfast (the croissants and breads, in particular, were wonderful), and the variety and quality of the food served in the restaurant. During my most recent checkout, I provided feedback to the receptionist regarding two issues: First, there were constantly flies in the restaurant, which I found quite unpleasant. Second, regarding the internet connection—while the speed was perfectly fine, you are required to log in again every single time you return to the hotel from work. Furthermore, the connection drops throughout the night, necessitating yet another login. I suggested that they should change this system, as a single login should be sufficient for the entire duration of one's stay."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Lochenice?
The best area to stay in Lochenice is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main square and along the road leading towards Hradec Králové.

This area offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the feel of the village. You'll find the local pub and small shops here, and it's where the community life happens. The church of St. Michael the Archangel is a prominent landmark in the centre.

For families, staying in the village centre is a good option due to the proximity of the local playground and open spaces. It allows for easy strolls around the village and quick access to any local events or facilities.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the quiet surroundings of the village centre.
When is the best time to go to Lochenice?
The best time to go to Lochenice is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the Hradec Králové Region is at its peak.

For travellers who appreciate comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds, May and June offer warm days great for exploring the local countryside and historical sites. The fields are green, and flowers are in bloom, making it an ideal time for gentle walks or cycling along the Elbe River.

September and October bring crisp air and the stunning colours of autumn foliage, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. This period is also excellent for enjoying local produce and seasonal events without the peak summer crowds. It's a great time for couples looking for a romantic getaway with scenic views and cosy evenings.

While summer (July and August) is popular for families due to school holidays, it can be warmer and busier.
