Lovely, quiet hotel in beautiful surroundings.

We had a really nice stay - only one night, travelling through, wish we could have stayed longer! One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The large swimming pool was very clean and empty when we there. Nice bar with pool table and very friendly staff. Pleasant 15 minute walk through the forest to get to the centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Great pool, spacious room.

I have stayed here before and always had a great time. I had the luxury of having the indoor pool to myself - Awesome!! Good breakfast but would have liked a warm veg option such as beans or mushrooms. The room was big and spacious with a comfortable bed. The only area for improvement was the peeling paint outside on the balcony. Some TLC needed there.

I tried to alter my booking dates through Expedia's website, was informed by their Bot that it'd all been taken care of. Didn't receive the promised confirmation email so called the hotel to check and it hadn't happened at all. Thank you so much to the guy at the hotel for re-arranging everything so perfectly, otherwise we'd have turned up without a reservation. Next time we'll book with the hotel directly. You find out how good an organisation is when you need them to help you out and Expedia failed utterly on this occasion .

We hadden een prettige verwelkoming en ook de bediening en het eten in het restaurant beviel ons zeer! Wat een leuke mensen die verder kwamen dan alleen de gebruikelijke vragen of we nog wat wilden drinken of dat het gesmaakt heeft. En de beeldjes (Wereldwinkel Lochem) die overal stonden completeerden de stijlvolle inrichting. Wij hebben er dan ook 2 van gekocht. Graag tot een volgende keer!

Aangenaam verblijf

De locatie van het hotel was uitstekend en bood een rustige omgeving. Het restaurant en het personeel waren beide gastvrij. De kamer was ruim en schoon. De badkamer was uitgerust met een inloopdouche die een aangename douche-ervaring bood met een goede waterdruk en een ruime voorraad warm water.

We hadden de meest luxe kamer met balkon geboekt. Het was echter een extreem ‘kale’ kamer. Mini plankjes naast het bed waar naast bril en telefoon geen boek meer bijpast. Een losse airco, die niet koelde, een lamp die kapot was, en verder geen enkele aankleding. Badkamer met douche zonder deur, zodat hele badkamervloer nat wordt bij het douchen. Een wasbak met ook weer geen enkele ruimte daarnaast om toiletartikelen neer te zetten. Bij het ontbijt was nagenoeg alles op en moesten we om brood, kaas en fruit vragen. Dat kwam er. Fruit was echter uit blik

Mooi gerenoveerd

Wij verbleven enkele nachten alleen om te slapen en hadden daarom de meest eenvoudige tweepersoonskamer geboekt. Bij aankomst bleek dat we een upgrade kregen naar een zeer ruime familiekamer met dito balkon. Het hotel is sinds ons vorige bezoek (enkele jaren geleden) erg mooi opgeknapt: nieuw sanitair en kamerinrichting. Prima bedden, alleen jammer dat de aanwezige (extra) kussens allemaal nogal dik zijn. Er is wel een service om via de receptie een ander soort kussen te vragen, maar in de informatie daarover staat niets over de dikte. Tip: leg ipv 4 dezelfde kussens, verschillende soorten kussens op de kamer: 2 standaard, 1 met de ervaring van dons en 1 van de andere optie (waarvan ik de specificatie niet meer weet). Verwarming is zelf te regelen en er is koffie/thee om zelf te zetten. De WiFi leek in eerste instantie niet te werken, maar vriendelijk personeel bij de receptie (waar het bereik een stuk beter is dan op de kamer) bood ons hulp. Enige min-puntje wat wij hebben ervaren is de verlichting in de kamer: 's avonds lezen lukt niet zonder extra zaklamp erbij. Zelfs de lampjes bij het bed geven alleen wat sfeerverlichting. Tip: zorg bij een paar lichtpunten (oa bij het bed) voor lampen met 2 of 3 standen (van gedimpt tot sterk genoeg om bij te lezen/werken) of kies standaard voor wat feller licht op enkele punten.
