"We had a wonderful stay at Melfort. A few days on our own, then joined by our daughters and baby grand daughter, we were cosy, warm and relaxed. The lodge was perfect, baby gates and highchair provided, and the pool lovely and warm, encouraged a swim every day! The staff are friendly and super helpful, even giving the wee one a present from Santa before she left! This was our third visit, and it definately won't be our last."

"This was in walking distance to the waterfront which had all the shops, cafes and restaurants that we needed. It was also close for the ferry to Mull. The hotel did not have a buffet but you ordered from the menu and everything was brought to your table so everything was piping hot. They also had a good breakfast selection to choose from. We were very pleased with the standard of cleanliness of the room. Nice big shower as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa! The location is perfect, right in the heart of town and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and pubs. "An excellent 'bar pension', centrally located easy walking distance from the rail station and ferry terminal. The rooms are very stylishly decorated but compact, so good for a short stay. The ensuite was cleverly designed to fit hand basin, shower and toilet into a small space. Bed comfortable and nice towels and herbal hand / shower wash. TV working with UK free to air channels. Good Wi-fi and tea kettle and china mugs. Good food in the whisky bar and live music too on the night I was there, though I'd suggest they switch off some of the harsh halogen lights to create a cosier ambience and encourage you to linger longer! The room window was also locked and I suggest the owner unlocks them so that guests can ventilate with the fresh West Highland air if they wish... No socket in ensuite. Officially nowhere to store luggage after the early checkout time but staff let me leave a suitcase in the bar and keep the outside key until midday, which was welcome. Recommended"

"Room was good but could have done with some place to hang wet coats and a safe preferably big enough for a laptop. Staff were pleasant and helpful Breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty. Personally I would have preferred either bigger cups or a teapot but that’s my personal preference. Parking was limited. We parked in front of the hotel but didn’t use our car for the whole time we were there, so don’t know if there was any other parking places available. Altogether a nice place with excellent views over the bay."
