Dinner menu was fantastic and we took up the offer for packed lunches (sandwich, yoghurt, crisps and delicious rocky road) for our continuing NC500 journey which were excellent and very inexpensive. "This pod is bigger than it looks we were over the moon. Unfortunately we were only staying one night . In the morning we had 8 deer in the field opposite our pod. Excellent welcome pack with milk and breakfast items plus 4 eggs. We wished we had been staying longer"

"A very clean and well presented homely property in the centre of this working fishing settlement . It is spacious and has everything you might need, if you haven’t the Spar shop is just across the road. Lovely Oldshawmore Beach, one of several in the area, is only a ten minute drive away and Kinlochbervie is well placed for exploring mountains inland, the dunes and enormous beach near Durness, points of interest like Smoo Caves or taking a ferry ride from Tarbet to Handa Island."

"House was nice and clean, stocked with some of the basics you like to find (salt& pepper, washing liquids etc). The hosts made contact and offered to light the fire for our arrival which we were grateful for having got rather wet in the morning. We were also able to do a load of laundry before continuing our road trip. The local was a bit of a hidden gem being in between the Lochs, the access by harbour was great and our boys really enjoyed having the place to themselves for a while. It was a very welcome stop"

"What a fantastic location, we had an amazing week at Hillside Cottage. The cottage itself is basic, and could benefit from a few little extras/refresh to make it more cosy, but it was spotlessly clean and had excellent facilities. Wifi was better than expected. It was the perfect base for us to explore the spectacular scenery in the area. Will definitely visit again."
