Nice Hotel in centric location, fair priced, nice staff. Close to lake and shopping and eating. Abit loud if you are towards the street and parking is in a public parking. Great breakfast incl. with great view.

Great stay in Locarno

Lovely room with TWO balconies, view over lake. Easy stroll from station (7-8 minutes, with luggage), immediate access to all- old town, restaurants, funicular to Madonna del Sasso etc, ferries for lake trips,. Staff totally helpful and engaging. Great stay for three nights before stunning train trip to Domodossola .

Nice hotel in central location.

Nice hotel in a marvellous central location. The rooms were quite new and even if its 15m2 it feels very spacious. The breakfast is great for a 3 star hotel. Only downside was the outside noise still late in the evening / night coming from the surroundings. We went here earlier and we didnt notice it, but this time (Fri/Sat) the youth was hanging around and making lots of noise.

OK to good stay

Our stay was OK to good. I am upset about the strict enforcement of the cancellation rules. The hotel would not accept dogs and we realized this too late, having to pay for one night even though we had two other rooms booked for two nights. The best of the hotel is the nice and friendly staff.

Very nice hotel with good location close to sea and to train station. Discovered too late that GF bread must be ordered in advance. But why don’t they have some in the future. On the booking site you get the impression that room has balcony, but in reality only French balcony.

Middle of everything!

Our stay in Locarno Hotel Du Lac was too short. We were given Ticino tickets to travel by bus for free to the Ticino area. The breakfast muesli was excellent and the breakfast room terrace just lovely. Hotel is easy walking distance to train station. Also close to the lake and the central piazza. Staff very friendly multi-lingual and helpful. Excellent place to stay!

Great location for the train station. Good breakfast. The street/alley on our side of the hotel was very noisy throughout the night. The hotel needs to get the police to monitor this area between midnight and 6:00 am

Excellent central Locarno

Best location in Locarno. Great hotel very close to the train station walk out the door into boutique shopping. 100m to the lake front with boats and cafes on the left. 100m along shops to the Grand Piazza on your right. Could not have asked for a more friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was high quality and cleanliness top rate. We are so happy we chose to stay here and would choose this hotel again.

We were delighted to stay in such a comfortable and quiet hotel right in the center of Locarno, just a few minutes walking distance from the train station and from the lakeshore. The staff was quite friendly and helpful, the property is beautifully maintained, and the breakfast sumptuous. Our streetside room was comfortable, with plenty of room for our clothes and luggage; nice bath space, too. We were there during a festival, which was audible, but not too troublesome -- we put down the blinds and slept quite well. And the Ticino Ticket was a great bonus! All in all, a perfect stay and no hesitation in recommending it.

Das Hotel befindet sich, wie man es in der Schweiz erwartet, in einem gepflegten und sauberen Zustand. Die Lage zum See ist hervorragend. Von vielen Zimmern aus hat man einen guten Blick auf den nur 100 m entfernten See. Einzig die Erreichbarkeit des Hotels ist etwas schwierig, da es mitten in einer Fußgängerzone liegt. Die Tiefgarage Parking Central ist aber in unmittelbarer Nähe. Man muss es nur wissen. Und eine kleine Einschränkung, was die Ruhe anbelangt: direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich eine Skater Halfpipe. Schön für die Kinder und Jugendlichen, weniger gut für ruhebedürftige…
