"We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back."

"The hotel itself is absolutely fabulous, with a mountain view that looks as if it has been plucked straight from a painting. The cleanliness is superb and I am talking about the entire hotel. The breakfast provided was incredibly delicious, with an extensive variety to choose from. What's more, you can order as much as you want, which adds to the overall indulgent experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, approachable, and accommodating. Despite the language barrier, as we do not speak Spanish, there was always someone available who could communicate in English.
