Comfortable, warm and well-placed.
My room was lovely and it was warm, great shower and a comfortable bed. The Hall Street car park was full when I arrived but luckily there was free parking in the road opposite and I couldn't spot any parking restrictions. A noisy group disturbed my early night on Saturday but not for long and consideration for other guests is suggested by the owners.

great hotel if you like steps
great room but not very disabled friendly as there are steps up to the door and then there are stairs to most of the rooms I think we were the only people in the Lodge so it was very quiet I did buy bleach as the sink drain smelt a bit we had a shower and bath in the room and we had a lovely sitting room to watch telly and there were plenty of plug sockets in both rooms we would stop there again as it wasn't far to walk into the town center or most of the attractions

Absolutely perfect cottage for two. Close to all amenities & the heritage railway (the reason for our visit) but completely dark & totally silent of an evening for a great nights sleep in a really comfy bed. Excellent wi-fi signal. The only things missing were a grill pan in the oven & instructions on how to work the heating. Loved our stay & would definitely return. Thankyou.

I am sorry to see your score of 1 out of 5 for your stay in our Suite and Large double - but without any comments or feedback it is difficult for us to understand why. You did not contact us during your multi night stay to raise any issues. I am sorry you felt such a low score was necessary.

The room was comfortable and clean. Llangollen is a great location and the hotel was well situated. However, we had an issue with the room due to a message not getting to the owner from Expedia. He was not helpful and wanted to charge us £5 to resolve this minor issue. The room was not tidied while we were out. No dining options at all. Not even a decent cup of coffee in the morning. We had to drive to get breakfast in before 9.

HI - thank you for your feedback. Our property is very clearly noted as being room only LODGE style accommodation. It operates with self check-in and has no breakfast or dining options - but there are 7+ cafes within 4 minute walk in the town centre which serve breakfast. Why you had to drive I have no idea as most guests celebrate our great location right in the middle of town with so many places to eat. We also clearly note on all the arrival information, confirmations etc that housekeeping is on an every other day basis. So as you stayed for 2 nights you would not have had housekeeping on the second day. The issue about wanting a twin room is correct in that we were not notified, and your late arrival at 10.30pm meant our housekeeper had finished work. The proposed additional charge was to cover the linen hire costs of having one set of double and two sets of singles - however once you had clarified that you had informed Expedia of it being a twin we waived this charge. I am glad that our housekeeper went out of her way at near to eleven at night to change the beds for you.

Reasonably priced. Convenient location. Great communication. Easy check-in. Clean and well-appointed. Yes - there are 10-12 steps to the front door and more steps inside if you are on the 2nd floor - so it is not accessible. The steps and front court yard could use some weeding but it was not overgrown. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location with long stay car park next door. Only small gripe is that radiators were left on in August with windows open. I turned them off straight away, but this seems so wasteful

Good central location but needs a bit of TLC.
The location of the lodge is great, very central. We didn't realise until after booking that there was no car parking at the lodge - you have to go to pay and display down the street. However it is free due to the car park pass provided (after check in which is 4pm). There were a few niggles about the room (Room 2) - the TV in bedroom didn't work, the towel rail in the bathroom didn't work, no extractor fan and room was generally a bit cold. The management said they would look into this following my email on our first night, but I had no reply after that, other than a fan heater was provided when we got back to the room. There is no one on site - the owner is remote. The room was OK, a bit dated but lots of space having a separate living room to the bedroom. Could do with a bit of an update.

Looked attractive, interior was stylish with a modern vibe, ad the owner was pleasant. The lack of car parking was an irritant (I was given a pass to the local town car park a 5 minute walk away). The lowest points were the quality of the bed (it sagged like the eyes of a 80-year old, to the discomfiture of my back and neck), and the breakfast (the grilled tomato was cold, and both my poached egg and coffee were tepid). (Really). That breakfast was not worth a tenner.

Great weekend stay

We are a B&B as described in our listing and grading. Our manager is on duty 8.00am until 11.00am and then again 3.00pm until 9.00pm.

Good value hotel. Central to the town.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Very comfortable beds and well thought out room layout. Quiet location despite being close to the town. Breakfast was the best we have experienced, freshly cooked. Loved the fruit in individual serving jars. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Girly night away
Great little cottage! Clean and spacious. Ideal for our group of 4 friends. Like home from home. Breakfast spot on too! Lots of choices Very good location, lots to do in llangollen. Highly recommend

The location is great, beds very comfy, has a nice bar area and breakfast lounge - although very pricey, £10 odd for 2 drinks and the same round £7 at the corn mill so we only stayed for one, can’t comment on the breakfast as we ate over the road at half the price, we were only there as a base to come back to at the end of a day rather than a holiday as such. Marked cleanliness and appearance 4 as some peeling wall paper balconies not maintained and windows filthy, think some rooms are being done up though. General tidy up needed around hot tub area. Didn’t use hot tub as area around quite dirty and put us off. Room and bathroom small but adequate, the drain smell coming from the bathroom sink everytime u use it was a bit grim though. No neighbour noise, street or bar noise heard and we were right above the bar - although closed at 9.30pm so should never be a problem really. I’d stay again as price for the weekend fairly reasonable and location good

Ideal accom in fantastic town.
Handy little bar on ground floor. Only stayed 2 nts but would have used the hot tub on balcony during a longer stay. Staff were very helpful.

Hotel heeft achterstallig onderhoud.
Het hotel was gunstig gelegen en de service van vrij parkeren op diverse plaatsen het stadje was goed geregeld. De kamer zag er leuk uit. Fijn dat er een aardig zitje in was. Tegen viel echter dat de (regen-) douche alleen maar heet water gaf en daardoor niet te gebruiken. De kraan om de temperatuur te regelen bleek al langer kapot en werd ook niet gerepareerd tijdens ons verblijf; de volgende gasten krijgen daar dus ook mee te maken. Het slot van de kamerdeur was soms niet te openen waarna de manager via een raam in onze kamer klom om de deur te ontsluiten. Conclusie: in principe leuk en goed gelegen hotel maar onderhoud is op cruciale punten onder de maat.
