Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stats with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat max size bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct.

The host and hostess were warm and welcoming. The amenities were adequate.I would suggest adding one more sauce pan. But we made do.We especially enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit for s'mores and just some time around the fire.
We really enjoyed the weekend. The hosts are nice and friendly. The property is right on the lake. Thank you. We will plan a return trip in the future.
We needed a few days to just get away and be quiet and this was perfect. It is only 2 miles out of Onalaska so whatever you need or forgot is handy, but the location still seems secluded. Wi-Fi and Roku TV included and while rustic, the cabin very quiet and the air conditioning kept things cool. Mornings enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck, watching the wildlife and just relaxing. Location within 30 minutes of the state park which was a very nice day trip.
The Cabin was easy to find and was exactly as it was described on the listing. Made for a great experience with extremely comfortable beds and couches.
We had a great stay. The owners and very nice and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The campgrounds are clean and user friendly. The kids enjoyed the swimming and we all enjoyed the fishing.
Resort and cabin was very comfortable.
Loved being there for 6 days.
Loved both Rick and Bernadette. Very friendly and
very helpful.
We enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was clean and was equipped with everything we needed. Besides the water/lake in front of the cabin being dried up (which was out by of their control), we loved it and will go back
Bernadette and Rick are the best! They made sure we had everything we needed. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. We even got to see the baby Alligator!!
Nice property. Manager wonderful, met needs, helpful, friendly and made the place a community feel. Cabin well stocked, more than other places. Close to the town which was good. Didn't realize that it would be fairly near the road and cabins close together but not a problem sleeping or sitting on the deck. Friendliness would make me go back again!!
Property managers were friendly and easy to communicate with. Everything for staying comfortable was accessible and available. The lake level is extremely low, but we were informed of that beforehand. The boat docks could have a little more TLC with cleaning of spider webs. All in all it was a great place to relax and stay.
We enjoyed and loved our stay at this lake front cabin! We enjoy the lake, having breakfast, lunch and dinner outside and enjoyed playing outdoors. Cabin is very equipped with everything needed. Bernadette was super informative, sweet and the best host! It was my son’s 5th birthday and she gave him a present! That melted our heart and he was super happy. Not just that, on Easter day they placed golden eggs in front of our cabin. We definitely be back to stay here! 🥰❤️
Everything was great cozy and comfortable. Family and friends came out to visit they also had a great time. Quite relaxing. A must return visit. Thank you Rick and Bernadette
There is so much to do in this beautiful area. Definitely coming back. Would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great vacation experience.
