Rocky Shores in Door County is the perfect bay-front cottage for your ideal getaway. This classic retreat seamlessly blends modern comforts with vintage charm. We feature a full kitchen for you to create delicious home-cooked meals as well as extra amenities like kayaks for exciting water activities. Perfect for families or groups, it's located just 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay, providing both convenience and waterfront serenity.

** Firewood Included ** We are including firewood for the outdoor firepit as part of your rental, so you no longer need to source firewood to enjoy a fire by the water!

The cottage is North-facing, which means that you can start your mornings with breathtaking bay sunrises and enjoy evenings with picturesque sunsets. Sip on your favorite coffee as you admire the view from our spacious deck, or indulge in hot cocoa by the fire pit. During the warmer months, take advantage of our kayaks to explore the shore or simply relax and swim. Our fully equipped kitchen is ready for your culinary adventures. The backyard is perfect for yard games or unwinding, and no matter how you choose to spend your time, you'll always have a beautiful view to enjoy.

Living Area:
As you step into the main living area, you'll immediately feel the cozy charm of warm wood interiors. The dining space is also generous in size, perfect for accommodating the whole family and fostering great conversations during shared meals. And when it's time to relax, snuggle up by the original Door County stone fireplace (open for use from late October to April) and be mesmerized by the stunning views through the large windows overlooking the water.

But the true heart of this cottage is the main dining/living room. It captured our hearts, and we're confident it will steal yours too. Whether you prefer peaceful mornings savoring coffee and breakfast while admiring the bay or lively nights filled with board games or movies on the flat-screen Smart TV above the fireplace, this living room can cater to all your desires.

Bedrooms:
Indulge in the comfort of a cozy bed after an exciting day on the water or unwind after exploring everything Door County has to offer. Our master bedroom is a haven of relaxation, boasting a spacious king bed adorned with luxurious linens. Stay cool and comfortable with the ceiling fan, and rest assured, knowing there's plenty of room in the closet and dresser for all your belongings during your extended stay.

In our guest bedroom, you'll find even more sleeping space, with two queen beds to accommodate your family or friends. Plus, we've made sure to provide the convenience of a washer and dryer, so you can easily take care of any laundry needs while enjoying your time at Rocky Shores.

To top it off, both bedrooms have been updated with brand new flooring as of Fall 2022, ensuring a fresh and modern atmosphere for your ultimate relaxation.

Bunk House (Kid's Cottage):
The detached bunkhouse is a perfect getaway for everyone - kids, grandkids, and even adults! This separate building, located just steps from the main cottage, offers breathtaking views of the water. Inside, you'll find a cozy bunk bed that sleeps three (3) and a comfortable queen sleeper sofa for two. The bunk room is equipped with an internet connected TV and a refrigerator/freezer. The bunkhouse has its own heating and air conditioning system, guaranteeing a comfortable stay no matter the weather. However, please note that the bunkhouse does not have its own bathroom.

Bathroom:
Rocky Shores has a single but well-appointed bathroom with convenient soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers, a heater just outside the shower, and plenty of space for families to get ready in the morning before heading out to enjoy Door County.

Outdoor Deck, Waterfront, Patio, and Fire Pit Areas:
Perhaps the best part of Rocky Shores Retreat is the outdoors! With a large backyard and 180' shoreline, you'll have ample outdoor space for relaxing in the hammock or playing yard games like bag toss. The most prominent feature is the large deck, which is partially shaded by cedar trees and overlooks the water - it's a great spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Enjoy the outdoor spaces well into the evening with the outdoor lighting over the deck and ample seating for family and friends. The fire pit area is surrounded by Adirondack chairs and makes a great spot for marshmallow roasting or fireside family fun. . It's the perfect spot to enjoy Door County's beautiful waterfront.

Whenever the weather is nice, we love to head outdoors for some fun in the sun. And, thanks to the well-equipped outdoor space, you'll never be short on things to do. We've got four kayaks for exploring Little Sturgeon Bay, and a bag toss game for when we're feeling competitive. Plus, we've got all the classic yard games like frisbee and horseshoes. And when we're ready to relax, we can always lounge in the hammock with a good book. No matter what we're in the mood for, our outdoor space has you covered. (Kayaks, and yard games are available from May/June to September)

The brick patio on the south side of the cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The patio is a great place to relax when the wind is coming off the water. The Weber grill is perfect for cooking up a delicious meal and is just steps away from the kitchen. You'll also find comfortable and inviting seating, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
