I loved how there was a starbucks and so many walkable restaurants in the area. I will say parking was very limited since we do have a tall truck but the staff was super understanding and flexible. Absolutely would return.

The rooms were very nice and the location is perfect for San Diego. It's a very nice hotel.

We will be revisiting. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff was really helpful and friendly.

The entire place was nice. Kind of pricey, but its close to the beach and its a very nice tourist spot. The lobby has snacks and treats, which is very nice. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. My issue is with the less than helpful (at least to us) staff on duty for the night shift. We were informed at the desk that there is a 25 dollar a night charge for parking. Parking is across the street in a building that you have to download a code for to get in and out. The person at the front was more interested in socializing with some guy. We were apparently an inconvenience. (we checked in at 7ish pm). I did let the person know my experience and she said she would make sure someone knew about it. The parking situation is less than fantastic but the rest of the stay was great. We did not get to try the on site restaurant but it was certainly hopping and people sounded like they were having a blast. I got a pretty decent discount on the room using this site, but I can't imagine paying regular price, so if I decided to come back, I will be using Expedia again.

I travel a lot and use Expedia to book due to the convenience of not being limited to one hotel chain's choices in the area. Occasionally, some hotel chains give you a low priority room or a "lower-tier" room. This is the case with Hotel Del Coronado. Great staff, restaurants, location, pools, etc. and a newly updated room. But the experience was just ok due to "resort view" room. Expected more as a Hilton Honors member.
