"We really enjoyed our stay! The host was incredibly kind, communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. They even left us a thoughtful treat and shared information about the games and activities available. When we mentioned a beeping sound at night, they fixed it right away. The property is beautiful, peaceful and has a rural feel that reminded us of home. The house is very family/friendly our toddler loved the toy train set! The updated kitchen and bathroom were great, esp the large shower/tub. The sleeping setup (1 king, 2 queens, and 2 twins) is perfect for larger families or groups and we appreciated the blow dryer and ironing board. The beds were comfortable and felt clean, and the floors were clean too, which we especially noticed with little ones crawling around.A few suggestions: the walls/ceilings could use fresh paint, and the windows, coffee table, and vents could use a deeper clean. The blinds let in a lot of light around 6 a.m. in the king and twin rooms, so blackout curtains would be a nice addition. The house was a little musty and warm when we arrived, but opening the windows and running the fan fixed it.There are quite a few stairs, so a removable baby gate would be a wonderful addition for families. Overall, this is a spacious, welcoming place with lots of potential and we’d happily stay again!"
Historic Gooding College, Beautiful Building Small Town up to 21Bedrooms, 13Bath
10/10 Excellent
"This place was ideal for our family reunion! The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was big and easy to use. They had everything we needed to use. There were so many activities inside and on the property to keep all ages occupied. I loved the atmosphere of the old wood floors and the old style look from the outside. The host was amazing and took care of all our needs though they were few. The local town was small but they had a few grocery stores and the pizza place was great!! I would love to revisit this place again!!"
"There were several pros: great view, comfy beds, and nice shower head and water pressure. There are also a few things to note before you stay here. 1. If you’re bringing dogs, please know that the property is mostly cheatgrass. They did trim some right around the house, but everywhere else it is so prolific. We weren’t able to walk around the property without it getting stuck to us. We even had to take our dog to an emergency vet while we were there because one got his eye. 2. The house was very hot when we arrived. All AC was off and their welcome message did not match the available AC units in the house. There was only one small usable AC unit that they didn’t want us running for very long. The electricity actually trips if it gets used for awhile. 3. The listing and photos make it look like the king bed is in an enclosed bedroom. The whole bottom floor is open with only the bathroom having a door. 4. The windows do not lock. I tried to open a couple to get some air flow and the opening mechanisms were broken on several. Overall, some clarity and transparency in the listing would have helped us decide if this home was a good fit for us."
