"We stayed in the old traditional Lipari home and it was absolutely beautiful. For a couple, there was nothing better than waking up to the view out over the sea in the morning as the sun was rising. The property was so quiet and peaceful too. We could have breakfast on the porch, swim and snorkel in the private rock pool and along the coast and shower outside beside the house. "If you have a car rented on Lipari, and you enjoy feeling like you're miles away from anywhere, this is the spot for you. It's exactly why we booked it, and it was exactly what we expected. This remote villa is not easily accessed DIRECTLY by car. Very narrow roads to get to the parking area, which is a 3 minute walk down a rugged stone path that is somewhat steep, to access the property. It IS possible to drive down the path. (Whether or not you can drive back up it is based on your car's power...

It was well managed, had all of the cooking amenities we needed, and was a lovely place to unwind and relax. "Canneto is beautiful. Ristorante Meraglia on the main foreshore road is fantastic. Christiana’s property is high above the foreshore with stunning views. Access is up a very steep slope and once again I wished we packed more lightly. We had to ask for a toaster and blankets and some other things. Initially we were dealing with an agent and obtaining assistance was difficult, but then Christiana’s husband appeared from next door and it was then plain-sailing!"
