"As this was a relevantly new establishment we weren't sure what to expect, but we had a fabulous stay. Everything was high class, from the coffee bags - not instant, to the shower/shampoo/conditioner. Towels that actually covered me, to posh 'who gives a crap' toilet paper!!We came home one afternoon to find a small punnet of strawberries in our room! "Enjoyed our stay but some of the reception staff looked so unhappy. A smile would have gone a long way The meals we had in the restaurant were fine and staff there had a bit of oomph!"

"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"
