Family run small hotel with lovely restaurant and cafe genusslich that is near Lindau. Bus stop right in front to transfer to bus into alt Lindau Island or you can walk about 20-30 min. Biergarten cafe and restaurant had delicious traditional food. Breakfast was included in our rate and units were older but clean and comfortable. Windows had traditional metal rolling shades that you move via the side straps- first is shades with slots for light and then keep moving straps to collapse the shades for darkness. If you are not familiar with this style you might think there are no shades but they are quite effective.

Awful Place

Walked into the room to face a pungent odor of urine. Carpets, walls and surfaces were stained with what appeared to be a dirty greasy substance. Returned key to front desk and requested a refund because the room was not acceptable. The front desk refused request. I will not return to this hotel or hotels.com and will recommend to everyone I know to do the same.

Das es keine Bilder vom Hotel gibt, spricht Bände. Für dieses alte Hotel ist der Preis absolut überteuert. Es gab immerhin eine Minibar, leider ohne Gläser. Das Frühstück war gut, die Lage auch. Das Hotel muss dringend renoviert werden.

Unser Zimmer war groß und sauber und das Bett war bequem. Das Frühstück war soweit o.k. Allerdings ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen und eine Renovierung und Modernisierung dürfte seit langem überfällig sein, wie es auch schon von anderen Gästen beschrieben wurde.

Det var en helt igennem god oplevelse at bo på Hotel Cafe Schachener Hof Lindau. Nem indtjekning, hyggeligt rent værelse, mulighed for at spise aftensmad der, fin morgenbuffet og god service. Der var et personligt præg både indenfor på hotellet og i den hyggelige gårdhave. Vi kommer gerne igen med vores cykler, så vi kan udforske det smukke område omkring Bodensee.

Für 2-3 Nächte ganz ok.

Wir hatten alles was es braucht, inkl. Frühstück. Anhand früherer Bewertungen hätte ich da qualitativ etwas mehr erwartet. Es war sauber, das Personal nett und hilfsbereit. Netter Biergarten war auch dabei. Im Sommer wäre eine Lüftung / Klima von Vorteil da irgendwas in der Umgebung auch am Sonntag früh ab 7 Geräusche macht. Wenn ich wieder direkt in der Umgebung bin würde ich nochmals dort übernachten.
