Iconic Maine coastal cottage tucked on an acre of woods and lawn along the water’s edge of Penobscot Bay with lovely open water views. The shingled late 1800s cottage has a large wraparound porch with wicker chairs and views that hearken back to scenes of schooners passing by. Beach discoveries, swimming, and fishing are accessed via a semi-private staircase. The village green of Bayside offers a playground, boat moorings, and a wharf to swim and jump off of. A short walk from the cottage is Northport Golf Club, which has a public nine-hole course with a driving range and chipping area. The nearby harbor side town of Belfast provides a range of options for restaurants, boutiques, groceries, and a classic old-fashion video store. Explore coastal towns nearby, including Camden, Rockport, and Rockland.
The cottage sleeps six, with two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a third bedroom with two twin beds. One of the bedrooms has a balcony overlooking the bay. Congregate in the spacious living room, family room, or den with a game table, streaming Wi-Fi, and a television for watching DVD’s. The kitchen is fully outfitted and there is a grill on the deck as well. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The first-floor bathroom has a walk-in shower and a soaking tub is in the second-floor bathroom. There are more than adequate bed linens and bath towels available. Laundering of these linens is included in the cleaning fee. Ceiling, box and floor fans, and best of all - ocean breezes keep it comfortable! For safety, there are 6 smoke/carbon monoxide detectors located throughout the cottage.
