Family fun in the mountains

Our family has stayed at a few places in the Franconia notch region and The Mt. Coolidge inn stands out because it’s run by a family! Has great rates, and is a stay sandwiched between a wonderful river and a clean warm pool! The best of both water worlds in the mountains of NH! We will be going back to stay again next year!

What a wonderful stay we had. Listening to the river right outside the window was so peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very kind and always waved hello when he saw us. The room was large. Large tv with Roku. Bed was comfy. Small refrigerator worked well for our drinks and leftovers. Just a great stay. We will absolutely be back.

Very clean old school White Mountains motel and cabins right next to Pemi River. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Seating and fire pit on riverside behind hotel. Close to Lincoln and Woodstock, Franconia Notch, and Flume Gorge.

Clean and fair

Super clean, which is important but dated. Had a strong pinesol scent and was a little musty. Staff super polite and room was spotless.

On the good side of standard. Poor understanding of English on Reception and no orientation, advice or information given. Rear area of river, seating and fire pit is beautiful and all needs can be met in Lincoln just 3 mins drive away. Great to have use of a pool.

There was no room microwave. The bed platform was wood hard making uncomfortable sleeping. The amenities present seemed different than the write up online. Motel is dated old but okay.

Harder then it had to be

We had two rooms booked. The one with two beds was quite spacious but the one with a king bed had just enough space for the bed. Huge difference without much of a change in price. They were also as far apart as possible. They were on totally opposite ends of the room strip. The person at the check in desk spoke zero English and couldn't find my reservation. It took quite a bit of time. He had to call someone so they could interpret over the phone. The paperwork for check in had a different price, lower, then what I was actually charged which made it very confusing. They informed me the lower rate was the normal cost but the Hotel.com rate was higher because of fees they need to pay to get the booking. The room itself was fine and the staff was pleasant.

Comfortable mattress, quiet location. Motel is old, some updating done but has strong musty odor of an old building. Thin walls, door knob lock with a real metal key was very difficult to get unlocked. Affordable price, close to river in back of building.

First impressions are deceiving. Mid century motel but well taken care of. Very clean. Room was quiet and comfortable. Plently of hot water. Simple economy but I was very comfortable. Bed was good. No frills but i dlepted very wery. Mom and Pop owned and the owners were very friendly.

My child got 1st and 2nd degree burns on his stomach, within 5 mins of being in the room. There was a Keurig machine on low table and unbeknownst to me, it was plugged in and full of water. When I was unpacking, my child touched it and got burned. When I talked with the owner, he offered no empathy and said “oh okay”. The rooms are musty smelling and outside of each room is an ashtray. Lots of people were smoking cigarettes outside of their rooms. It is not a child friendly establishment.

The owners were very nice. The unit I stayed in was bit dated. The room was hot with the air conditioning running full. The sheets were stained, otherwise the unit was clean. I felt that the nightly price was a bit high for this property.
