"This is a lovely hotel. Great situation opposite the castle, so at the top of the hill! Continental breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese toast. Plenty to choose from. We had a standard room which was spacious and nicely decorated. Large shower room. The plug sockets had been upgraded to include USB and phone charger sockets so you don’t need a plug. Just a few minutes walk to the steep hill and then onto the shopping centre and round to the waterfront. There is plenty of car parking around the hotel but you do need to pay. It was just over £10 for 24 hours, so factor that in if you are on a budget. There is a lovely cafe next to the hotel. A tapas bar, Indian and pub within a stones throw. The Indian restaurant is well worth a trip but book if you can as we had to wait for a table as it’s busy. Will definitely stay here again. Staff were really friendly. Especially the breakfast lady! "Check in was quick and easy, lady on reception was friendly and professional. Rooms were spacious and clean (apart from an old sock being found in corner of one of the two rooms). Loved the large, comfy bath towels. Beds very comfy. Will stay again. "
