"First of all the view of the ocean was amazing! That's what you're paying for! But, the room was very disappointing. First off, we could not get into our room. The lock was not working. When I called the front desk, he said that I would need to come and get a key that they were old locks and they were having problems with them sticking. If that were the case, why he didn't give us a key in the first place. But we were lucky that a staff member was out, and about and ask if we were having problems and came and helped us get the door open. The room was filthy! Dust & dirt in the corners of the rooms. The blinds, the furniture, the gas stove would not work and was full of dust, all over it. The windows were very dirty inside and out. Windowsills look like they haven't been cleaned in months. The furniture was very old and very uncomfortable. The carpet had stains all over it. The jetted tub was nice and worked well, but had cracks and was very old looking. In the bathroom, the tub grip bar was broke off completely. The kitchenette was very sparsely equipped. 2 forks, 2 spoons, 1 little 1 big. 1 wine glass, no glasses for like iced tea or anything. Just one very short little glass. The bed.It was very uncomfortable hard, as a rock! I managed about three hours of sleep, in it. There were no extra blankets. There were four pillows on the king size bed.But none of them fit, they were very mismatched. When the neighbors were using their jetted tubs, it was very, very loud."

"Check in was super easy and the woman at the desk explained things so clearly and had some excellent suggestions for dining nearby. The room was very well appointed with everything I needed including some snacks for purchase. Double bonus that they provide a kettle and French press for coffee, as well as real coffee mugs and wine glasses instead of paper cups. The room was clean and updated and towels were luxury. Another shout out for the fire pit area which was overlooking the beach and dug into the hillside with glass panels so the wind was barely an issue. Great place for a quiet glass of wine or cup of coffee. I was impressed by the attention to detail and can’t wait to return."

"I went to the beach to get some long-overdue rest, but I ended up staying awake the entire night. My husband and I couldn’t sleep a wink because of the constant sound of dripping water right outside the window of Room. At 1:30 AM, I went down to the lobby and complained to the elderly lady at the reception, telling her that the dripping noise was keeping us awake. To my absolute disbelief and frustration, she simply replied that out of the three rooms available in this motel, ours happened to be one of them. Her casual response made me so furious that I felt I was entirely entitled to a full refund. Even now, the memory of that dripping sound is so vivid that it is still causing me stress."
