Excellent location with a nice ocean view

Very cute house, nicely furnished with an ocean view from the dining area. Lots of windows bring in natural light, and the gas fireplace is very cozy. Beach access is within easy walking distance, and the location is very quiet. Check-in and check-out instructions were detailed, clear and easy to follow.

Cute Bungalow

This place was exactly as listed. My girls loved their “Oregon House”. I highly recommend this place. We even had a mama deer with 2 babies in the yard. It was close to the beach and easy to find.

Great Affordable Place

The property is at the beginning of Road's End, but it was quiet. The decor inside was fantastic for the house. It was stocked well for our needs as family dinners (20 of us) were down the road in a larger house. We had issues with the key pad and the owner got back to us quickly with information.

Quirky cute beach cottage

We really enjoyed staying in this eclectic little cottage. The ceilings are low, there’s a slope in the flooring, but it all kind of adds to the charm of this place. It’s good to know that there are no closets in the bedrooms, the house doesn’t have A/C, but if you leave the windows open you don’t need it. The location is great and an easy walk to the beach. We did have a problem with spiders, they were all over the house, but otherwise clean. Would totally stay here again.

Fell short

At first I thought there were several picky people in the reviews but figured I would give it a try. I’ll start with the positives. The location is in a great neighborhood and there were some friendly deer and fawns that came around which was cool. The negatives- 3 bug traps in the kitchen. The floors warped fairly bad and with a current disability issue I tripped several times. The beds are all on the downward slope with your head on the lower slope. The other thing is we were not prepared for the lower ceilings and doorways allowed for a 5’4” person but no taller. Half of us could not stand up strait in the bathroom or several other parts of the house. It also could really use a deep clean. And lastly the code to get in didn’t work. We used the emergency key and I called to get a new code. They quickly got us one which was a plus.

The ocean was as visible as in the picture and the location was good. The beach park down the street was within walking distance. The inside view was nasty along with the musty smell. The rugs were disgusting and the window sills were dirty. The floor was very uneven and the ceilings were exceptionally low. I'm 5'2 and it was even low for me. We did find some properties we will stay at next time.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice view of the beach from dining area. We would certainly consider renting again except that water pressure was only a trickle in kitchen & bathroom. Took very long time to get hot water. No one could take a shower and it was laborious and time consuming to try to rinse or wash dishes.

Sometimes "old is just old"

Mostly disappointed . I know insects are everywhere and very difficult to manage. Still they were there , ( cockroach , spiders) , but the uneven floors and a bed that you need a ladder to climb into and completely happen stance layout and in my opinion poor add-ons. Make this a poor choice ( by me) for our 3 day stay. I wish I could be more positive , but in todays rental options and cost , I would not rent this place again ..

Family Beach Vacation

Location was great and we enjoyed this quaint beach cottage. It was perfect for our kids and dog! The only tricky issue was that the password and and username posted for the internet was wrong and it took some detective work on our part to get on the wi-fi (we just had to find the info on the sticker on the modem behind tv). Other than that, no complaints—great stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When I called the rental office to tell them that the carpets were filthy, they said that's they way they were. It was terrible. I have rented this unit before, but never again. The floors slope pretty significantly.

Maintenance needs.

May want to repair carpet into kitchen and bathroom. Carpet metal strip spikes are exposed. Tore my toes up pretty good. Plastic chairs on patio are very brittle one broke when I sat on it. Nearly fell on the concrete.

Good Family Getaway

For the most part it had everything that you need. There are a couple of things that would have been nice to have in the kitchen like foil. Also there were plenty of bath towels and washcloths but only 2 hand towels to split between 4 people. We really enjoyed the badminton court and basketball court. There is a peek a boo view of the water and the beach is a short walk. Overall I think we would stay here again. It was nice to have the dogs with us.

Reviewer Comments: This was a quaint little home with a beautiful corner view of the coast. The floors and ceilings vary from room to room but it was not an issue. A few ants in the kitchen but we have the same in our own home. Plenty of kitchen supplies. The sandy area out back kept kids entertained. The electric fireplace was cozy and beds were comfortable. Plenty of movie options and games. Fairly easy walk to the beach if you mind traffic.

Convenient Escape to the Coast

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was perfectly clean and adequate for our family, with everything as described. It's a five minute walk to the Road's End beach, which is gorgeous, with the added bonus that you can also walk straight into "The Knoll" hiking area. The house itself is a bit funky, with slanted floors and ceilings, fraying carpets and dated fixtures. However, this was completely along the lines of what we expected, so no complaints.

We arrived to find the entry way no clean. Sand, Pine needles, dirt. Looking up the stairway there was a throw pillow laying on the floor. ?? There were no liners in garbage cans, none to replace them. No toilet paper to be found anywhere and the roll empty. The microwave had not been cleaned. There is a patch of carpet gone between the dining room and kitchen. If you accidently stepped on it, there were staples or? that stabbed your feet. The couch was unsightly and needed cleaned or just replaced. In the post you could see multiple games so we did not bring any. However there were only puzzles, as well as puzzles in the yahtzee box, no yahtzee. And we found a couple pieces of it in the living room. So, we will not return to this home sadly. It seriously needs some attention as well as a new cleaning person perhaps. I can say that when we phoned about the products not found, toilet paper. They did bring us a couple rolls asap. And garbage liners. a roll of paper towel.
