"My husband and I stayed at Grinning Bear Lodge from 10/4/26 - 10/10/26. This is the 2nd year in a row that we stayed there, and it was even better than last year. We've been coming to Angel Fire yearly since 2013, and Grinning Bear is one of the best places we've stayed. It's immaculately clean, has a wonderful view and has all the necessities you need. The coffee/hot cocoa area is well stocked, as is the 'smores station. We go purely to relax, hike and decompress, and we thoroughly enjoyed doing just that. The bed was SUPER comfy, and there were plenty of extra blankets to keep us warm. The hot tub was lovely - we sat in it every evening and watched the deer make their way up for the night. It was the perfect vacation!"

"The house was spacious and beautiful. It accommodated all 11 of us comfortably. The communication between myself and the property management team was superb. The checkout process was easy and simple. It would be difficult, however, for families with elderly or disabled because there are long steps to climb. There’s only one bedroom on the main floor, and the other rooms are upstairs and downstairs. The beds are high up. We had one woman with us who required a step stool to get into bed. Otherwise, it is beautiful and comfortable. The deer, elk, squirrels, and other wild animals made it that much more special."

"We had a fantastic stay! The house was super clean with lots of extras. The host was super responsive to our questions and needs. Even though we stayed the week before the mountain opened for the season, we still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and towns. Hope to visit again when everything is open!!!"

"The ski slopes were fairly easy to access. We had to Walk down very steep hill or up the road. The house was wonderful! We did have an issue with the hot water, but the host was very responsive and called a plumber to get us back in hot water! "
