Oceanatelier - a archipelago cottage 10 min drive from stockholm city

The property is located approximately 200 meters from the sea, with Stockholm archipelago around the corner. Surrounded by stunning lingonberry forrest, flora and fauna.
The Magic Valley has a rich cultural value, Stig Milles the brother of the well known Swedish artist / sculptor Carl Milles was one of the pioneers in the area. The location is just right for those who want the best of two worlds, the relaxing scenery of nature such as the forrest and ocean, and the hustle and bustle of Stockholm city voyage.
The cottage is divided into a kitchen, one bedroom, a hall and a bathroom The kitchen is equipped with stove / oven and a refrigerator. Bathroom with toilet and shower. Small separate storage space with separate entrance hosting a washing machine. The rent includes free car park, free internet connection, share in sauna, tennis court. On the porch in Ocean Atelier you can smell the scent of pine and flowers while enjoying the whispers of the ocean.

The rent does not include cleaning. Guests are responsible for leaving the cottage cleaned.

We are happy to anounce that we now got 1Gbit/s fiber connection internet installation. Providing fast reliable and free unlimited internet surf at speeds much faster than most hotels in town can provide. As its a small cottage we only allow for 2 or less people to stay in the house.

Relaxing retreat

Our stay in Sweden was wonderful! The cottage was small but perfectly comfortable for me and my sisters stay. Transportation too and from Stockholm was easy with the ferry and subway availability. We also enjoyed the immediate access to miles of hiking trails through the forest with the town and shopping within walking distance as well! Our host was extremely responsive and helpful! They were quick to respond with information for a time schedule to the ferry or to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property to any couple who wants a quiet retreat and easy access to the city of Stockholm’s plethora of shopping and historical museums and sights!! Wonderful!

Entspannung in der Natur

Björn und seine Frau waren sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Der defekte Grill wurde noch am Abend unserer Ankunft durch einen professionellen Gasgrill ersetzt. Dafür nochmal herzlich vielen Dank! Wir konnten so mit unseren Freunden aus Stockholm am nächsten Tag perfekt grillen. Die Landschaft dort ist sehr schön und beim Kanu fahren hatte ich das Glück, 2 Biber anzutreffen. Sehr gut, um mit dem Auto zum nächsten Parkplatz in Ropsten zu fahren und von da via U-Bahn in wenigen Minuten in die Innenstadt von Stockholm zu gelangen. Wir haben die Zeit dort wirklich sehr genossen. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Matratze (breit genug für 2 Personen), müsste dringend mal getauscht werden.

Goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Stockholm

Kleine cottage op een heerlijk rustig parkje. Met de fiets ben je binnen een half uur in het centrum van Stockholm. Het eiland Lidingo is ook mooi om te fietsen en te wandelen. Cottage is erg klein, met weinig mogelijkheden om je eigen spullen een plek te geven.

Für eine Person eine schöne ruhige Unterkunft.

Ich habe in diesem kleinen, niedlichen Ferienhaus eine sehr schöne erholsame Woche verbracht. Es befindet sich in einer sehr ruhigen und schönen Ecke von Lindingö. Den Platz kann gut mit dem Auto erreichen. Für Ausflüge kann man aber auch die 5min entfernte Fußgängerfähre oder für sportliche Leute, das Fahrrad benutzen. Das Häuschen war im groben und ganzen sehr sauber, das Bett bequem und die Wohnküche intakt und gut benutzbar. Wie einige vor mir schon geschrieben haben, sollten ein paar Küchenutensielien, die man so gebrauchen könnte, nachgerüstet werden. Mikrowelle und Toaster sind nicnt vorhanden. Einige Sachen, wie einen Schäler hatte ich zum Glück selbst mitgebracht. An der Sauberkeit im Ofen könnte man arbeiten. Ein Fernseher oder Radio gibt es nicht. Das WLAN funktioniert im Schlafzimmer hervorragend, in der Küche ist das Signal wesentlich schwächer. Vom Kleiderschrank im Schlafzimmer kann man nur die Schubladen benutzen. Es wäre gut, wenn das ganze Bettzeug mal aussortiert und teilweise erneuert wird. Ich fand es etwas verwirrend. Dringend erneuert oder gereinigt werden sollten - auf Grund diverser Flecken-die Matratze. Alles in Allem hab ich mich jedoch sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und stand mir bei Fragen und Problemen sofort zur Seite. Den Steg zum Wasser erreicht man in weniger als 2 Minuten. Für eine Person ist das Ferienhäuschen sehr zu empfehlen, wenn vom Vermieterseite diese genannten Sachen noch nachgebessert werden. Für mehr als 2 Personen wird es eng, da sich das kleine Sofa in der kleinen Wohnküche befindet. Danke jedenfalls für den tollen Aufenthalt dort.

Amazing stay !

We had a great time in this lovely place. The location is not far from Stockholm (bike, bus) yet really quiet. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed discovering it by canoe, bike and walking. The cottage is cosy for two, the neighbourhood is quiet. Björn is very helpful.

Klein, aber nicht ganz so fein

Das Positive an dem Ferienhäuschen ist seine Lage. Auf dem Grundstück der Besitzer. ca. 10 Meter von deren Haus entfernt. Meer mit nicht privatem Steg und Bootshaus liegen auf der anderen Seite der Straße. Das Haus selbst ist so etwas wie ein ausgebautes Gartenhäuschen mit zwei ca. 10 Quadratmeter grossen Zimmern, die Möbel dementsprechend mitgenommen. Das Bett im Schlafzimmer ist ca. 1 Meter 20 breit und damit für zwei Erwachsene eine Zumutung. Ein Nachtkästchen gibt es nicht, der einzige Kleiderschrank ist mit überflüssigen Bettbezügen belegt und damit für den Gast nicht nutzbar. Das Bad hat keinen Duschvorhang und ein 10 mal 20 Zentimeter grosses Waschbecken ohne Ablage oder Stauraum. Das Warmwasser reicht knapp für zwei Mal Duschen hintereinander. Das wackelige Ausziehsofa in der Küche ist kurz und hart. Ist es ausgeklappt, kann man die Küche kaum mehr benutzen. Kühlschrank hat kein Gefrierfach, ansonsten Ausstattung der Küche im Grossen und Ganzen ok. Fazit: Für eine Person in Ordnung. Für zwei Erwachsene mit normalem Gepäck sehr eng. Da laut Beschreibung für vier Personen geeignet mit gutem Willen gerade noch drei Sterne für dieses Zwergenhäuschen.

Holiday in beautiful Stockholm.

We rented the cottage for a week. It is a nice small cottage with all the necessary equipment but because we were with 2 kids (age 13 and 16) a bit too small. The bed was comfortable but the sleeping couch was not. Not when you have back problems. The weather was about 20 degrees so unfortunately we could not make use of the lake for swimming, but we made several trips to Stockholm and the archipel and they were great. From the house it is 15/20 minutes by car to Stockholm so a perfect location to start from. We also used the tenniscourt which also was great.

Nettes Häuschen, in sehr schöner Lage, um die Ecke liegt ein schöner Bootssteg mit Bank zum Verweilen. Für zwei Personen optimal, mit vieren könnte es eng werden. Björn ist ein fröhlich, freundlicher, Vermieter!

winziges, sehr gemütliches Häuschen

Sehr schöne Örtlichkeit! Man kann die Natur auf Lidingö genießen (wandern, laufen, schwimmen, Beeren pflücken...), und Stockholm ist auch sehr nahe, wenn man Lust auf Kultur hat. Das Häuschen ist sehr urig, für zwei Leute super, für eine dritte Person geht es mit dem Sofa in der Küche auch noch... Ausstattung echt in Ordnung.

Nettes Häuschen in ruhiger Wochenendsiedlung

Lage in einem ruhigen Wochenendgebiet am Wasser und Waldrand gelegen mit Bade-, Sauna- und Tennismöglichkeit (wir selbst haben bei bestem Wetter nur ersteres genutzt, dafür täglich); alles sauber vorgefunden, alles selbsterklärend bzw. auf mitgesandtem Schriftstück gut beschrieben ( lediglich Waschmaschine und Mülltrennung waren (uns) nicht ganz klar); als ein Alarm wegen derAbwasserpumpe auftrat, war (trotz Freitag Nachmittag) innerhalb von 20‘ ein Servicemensch da sowie noch am gleichen Abend ein spezialisierter Installateur, der das elektronische Problem beheben konnte. In 45‘ erreicht man mit dem Fahrrad (rauf und runter) sehr gut Stockholm, in 15‘ würde man es perAuto, und trotz Metropolnähe wohnt man idyllisch und naturnah.

Kleines idyllisches Ferienhaus in ruhiger, stadtnaher Lage.

Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer Ferienanlage nur durch wenige weitere Häuser vom Wasser entfernt. Die Innenstadt von Stockholm ist schnell zu erreichten. Das Haus ist gut für 2 Personen geeignet - zu viert ist es zu eng.

Ferienhaus am Rande Stockholms

Alles in allem ein schönes Ferienhaus für zwei Personen in einer schönen Lage in Wassernähe mit Bademöglichkeit nahe Stockholm. Es gibt nicht viel auszusetzen, außer dass die Küche für Selbstversorger etwas schlecht ausgestattet ist (zB kein Nudelsieb) und dafür, dass man die Wäsche am Schluss waschen soll, kaum Haushalts-/Putzmittel zur Verfügung standen - weil leer gemacht vom Vormieter.

Klein aber fein

Hübsches kleines Holzhäuschen auf dem Gelände der Vermieter. Aber trotzdem genug Privatsphäre und Platz drum herum. Für 2 Personen optimal, mehr eher nicht. Ruhige Lage, aber trotzdem nahe Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Nach Stockholm ist es per Schiff oder Bus nicht weit. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter.

Tolles Haus in Toplage

Das Häuschen ist hübsch eingerichtet, der Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit, der Badeplatz ist sehr schön, ebenso die Sauna. Absolut ruhige Wohnlage und schön im Grünen. Man ist mit Auto und U-Bahn in 20 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Für 4 Personen ist es schon etwas kuschelig und man muss das Sofa in der Küche täglich zum Bett umbauen. Trotz allem sehr empfehlenswert. Just lovely

We had a really good time at the Oceanatelier. During this week it was very hot, so it was wonderful when we came back from Stockholm and took a cool bath into the sea. The children loved the highboard. Lidingö was just perfect to vistited Stockholm and to enjoyed the beautiful skerry landscape. The house is very small and it is not easy to find a place for all the things we had, but it works! Best wishes Manuela and family

Nice small house in a wonderful surrounding

We spend a wonderful week in Lidingö with our daughter and her girlfriend. The nice and cozy house is near by the sea, with a lovely bathing place. The girls took Björns canoe and explored the surrounding. To see the sunset from the water became a fixed ritual every evening. The supermarket in Lidingö has everything you want. And it´s no problem to get into the centre of Stockholm, with car and subway it takes about 20 minutes. Björn was very friendly and helpful. We can really recommend the Oceanatelier!
