"We had to have a discussion with the reservation staff to get a better room. We were assigned a first floor room over looking a parking lot. After some discussion and significant increase in room cost we were moved to a larger third floor room with a nice view of Lake Geneva. What is the point of staying at the Grand Hotel du Lac if you can’t see the lake from your room. The hotel had many large tour groups who swarm in and out fast. Our overall experience was very good it is a very elegant hotel with a very professional exceedingly friendly staff. Since it sits on the waterfront with easy access to lake front walking and many restaurants along the way."

"Ideal location for us as we walked everywhere. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. Room was nice and clean, with fan and fridge with little freezer, ideal for two bottles of water. Thank you"

"The hotel is a real Swiss chalet high on the mountain side. Amazing view clean comfortable beds with duvets. Excellent buffet breakfast, live music Thursday nights. Full bar and restaurant. All locally sourced food really tasty. Excellent place. Highly recommend it."

"The property was very unique, we love the high ceilings and the special touches that age will bring to a building. Having the rooftop area to sit at, and large windows to see the Lakeview was a wonderful touch as well. The property was very clean, and the room was very spacious."

"Great property just steps from Lake Geneva. The room and hotel were beautiful and grand. The breakfast that was included had great variety and made for a stress free morning. Especially since you can sit on the terrace overlooking Lake Geneva. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The spa, gym, pools are modern and quite large. It's really nice the property has both an indoor and outdoor pools. Overall I would highly recommend this property."
