A cute beach style cottage, perfect for a family vacation! The Neighborhood is on a Rehoboth bay tributary where you have direct access to the water where you can enjoy the kayaking, crabbing, fishing, relaxing, boat watching and be amazed by the most beautiful sunsets. There is free access to the large pool and kiddie pool as well as access to recreational areas such as a playground, pickleball and basketball courts, bocce and more! Popular beaches like Rehoboth are only a short drive away! This property is awesome! It is within a gated community which is great for safety. The community has a clubhouse area that has a large olympic size pool, baby pool and a snack bar! Lots of fun things to do up there and it's all free for guests. We provide pool passes without charge as well. The house itself is about a block and a half away from the water. You can walk, ride bikes or drive to the water area in just a couple minutes. Once there you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, sunsets, boats going in and out, kayaking, walking, or just sitting on a bench swing. There are numerous docks where you can sit or fish or crab as well. Kids love crabbing for sure! There is so much to do, we often stay within the neighborhood. But if we want to go out, the beaches are only about 15-20 minutes away (rehoboth/lewes/dewey). We have great restaraunt's just around the corner, as well as outdoor bars such as the 'paradise grille' that are great for the whole family. There are a few excellent golf courses just down the street as well that rank some of the best in Delaware (Baywood Greens, Bear Trap Dunes, Plantation lakes amongst others). Charter boats are a short trip away as well. Oh and dont forget about the shopping outlets like Tangers, old navy, coach and many more just down the road on Rt. 1 (No sales Tax by the way!). On those rainy or lazy days you can always head over to Midway movies,'Lefty's alley and eats', or 'shell we bounce' trampoline park. Midway also has water parks during the day with go carts and other activities. There are several winery's in the area as well as several top breweries such as Dog fish brewery amongst others. This property and location are ideal for everyone in the family to enjoy themselves!

Our experience is a bit skewed by the fact that our four year old was acting like a monster but overall the house was in a nice community with a great pool /playground facility and driving distance from Delaware beaches and attractions.
I would recommend heading out early to beat the traffic and hit Dewey Beach, Lewes or Bethany for a more relaxed atmosphere. Rehoboth is nice but it’s also very busy and commercialized.
The local campsite store is a good place to grab breakfast and Brick Works didn’t disappoint for dinner.
No matter what expect to drive but everything is enjoyable (as long as you don’t have a screaming child in the back seat).
My family and I LOVED our stay at this house! The house was clean, homey, comfortable and as described. It was 20 minutes from the beach and a short walk to the bay. Additionally we had little ones with us and the house had a few accommodations for the little kids (they had an extra pack and play etc). However, what we loved most was that the house had extra amenities- bikes, pool passes, grill, kayaks for rent etc. The community itself had so many things to do in addition to the pool that we got to use/ had so much access.
The only mini “con” was there was only one bathroom even though there were many bedrooms. This was mentioned in the listing so we knew of so. Given all the other positive things/ the pros, this didn’t negatively affect our trip or our experience.
Communications with the owner was easy and they responded quickly. They were super nice and accommodating/ flexible.
Overall, I would definitely return to this house in the future and I would recommend to anyone else!
We had an enjoyable stay at Bayside Cottage. We especially liked the quiet neighborhood and the wonderful resources such as access to the pool and the thoughtfully provided beach accessories in the shed. Thank you!
Super convenient location in a friendly community with a pool. Lovely for morning or evening walks! Responsive host who considered all the details one needs for a fun and relaxing beach stay. Definitely would stay again! Don’t miss this one!
The house was cute and clean and in such a great spot. I love that there were bikes and beach items for us to use. At first we were worried the downstairs bedrooms would be too hot but leaving the doors open with the fans on worked well. We only wish there were a second bathroom but we may do and everything else was lovely. The host was incredibly responsive and very flexible when our plans changed at the last minute and he accommodated.
This was a good spot for our family for the weekend. The only drawback was having just one bathroom. It would be better to have a half bath to supplement that.
House as described. Several standing fans available to help with air flow which were definitely needed. It seemed the house wasn’t occupied prior to our stay because of the stale aroma and cobwebs. Some Febreze spray and air fresheners helped to fix that.
Huge plus of having access to the shed and use of beach chairs. Felt safe being in a gated community.

Nice stay in Lewes Beach Area
My family enjoyed our stay at this house. The inside was neat and clean. It was nice to have the big living area for the four of us to spread out. The house has the four bedrooms so I rented it but was worried about all of us and one bathroom. It was no problem and some used the outside shower so as not to tie up the inside facilities. The location is great in that you are away from the horrible traffic in Rehoboth which took us an hour to go 4 miles on rt 1. The neighborhood was very quiet with walkers, runners, and bikers going by and all waiving. I especially loved the tall trees. One draw back is that the picture of the front of the house is no longer accurate. It shows 2 umbrellas with 2 tables to sit at. I wish that were true. There was only one table with 3 chairs and one has a ripped seat so not comfortable and one umbrella which was badly broken. The front deck could use a power washing and paint. The owner was good about leaving a start up bag of kitchen supplies which we mistakenly put a box on so didn't find at first which I guess frustrated the owner when we at first said it was missing.
