Overall a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to someone who had mobility needs. The area is lovely and the locals are friendly. The house was lovely, clean (except for afew giant cobwebs) and we'll stocked with cutlery, crockery etc. Comfortable beds and couches. My little niggles where with the equipment we hired, we arrived late, due to several accidents on our way, no fault of homelands obviously but it ment, arriving and bed rails not being fitted, with no clear instructions how to use them, ment we had to come up with other solutions, then we then stuck with, rather than confuse one of our guest with the mobility issues as they are also registered blind. There was also wheelchair we hired, it wasn't made clear on ordering there was a limit on size available, meaning our 2nd guest with mobility issues, an ambulatory user was left with no chair for our break, they did try to use a manual chair but unfortunately pieces where missing from it and because they where questioned on their disability, they didn't feel they could go back again the seek the right equipment. We where unable to bring all equipment ourselves as we are normally a 5 with a 7 seater car but on this occasion we where a 6 in the same car, giving us no room for 2 chairs and 6 peoples luggage. Our extra guest uses a wheelchair chair full-timeso the offer of equipment hire was very appealing but it does need to be much clearer on sizes so people can be more prepared.
Overall a great house the grounds are well maintained and views are beautiful. I don't want this to be a negative review, it's not but we could adapt slightly, others may not be able to.
