The client service was a nightmare all the way through. It took me 5 phone calls to book the rooms and then I never received the booking confirmation by email despite following up numerous times. After arriving my friends had to wait 3 days for the housekeeping to make the extra bed in the suite for their child to sleep on. The staff was not at all helpful. I would definitely never stay here again.

The perfect place for a luxury stay in Leuven
I had previously spent 3 days in a cramped not very elegant hotel in Milano. To come to Hotel the Fourth was like dying and going to heaven. The room was so spacious and well designed. Great bathroom, sitting balcony to look over the courtyard. Large bed, nice desk and great coffee maker. It is in walking distance of the train station. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to Leuven.

Even though it’s hard to get to because it’s in a no car area, the hotel is beautiful and stylish. It’s next to the ornate city hall and many cafes and shops. We had to park our rental car in a parking garage about five minutes walk away. Price was reasonable for such a nice hotel.

Delight in Leuven
A superb hotel, the building is an architectural gem whilst the standard of the interior decoration and room facilities is of a very high quality. The hotel is a real gem situated in the heart of the Old Town of Leuven.

Lovely hotel, with a great period facade and a modern interior! Reception staff were helpful, breakfast options were adequate, and the city center location next to the city hall and main church can't be beat! The hotel is about 10-12 minutes safe walking distance from the main Leuven station. Taxi's are available, no private cars are allowed. Rooms are well appointed, with coffee/tea and water. Bathroom was functional. Lighting switches are extremely modern and a little hard to operate at night. The bed was comfortable. There are a vast number of dining options all around, from fast food (including Burger King, KFC & McDonalds) to fine dining (ate two meals at Het Moorinneken, excellent!) and international options within 1 to 3 minutes walk. Prices were great. Highly recommended over the standard chains near the station!

Nice but a little disappointing.
We stayed for one night in the hotel. On arrival, around 4pm, there was no one on reception but a note with a phone number asking to call..... We called twice but the number was busy! Street about 20 minutes someone appeared and looked very surprised to see us! He checked us in but didn't offer any other information....bar opening times etc. The room was very nice and the bed very comfy. We looked out over the Grote Markt and sound proofing was fine. We would have preferred a door to the bathroom. There was a pretty fancy coffee machine in the room but if you're under 160cm task forget it. You won't be able to see the control panel! After going out for the evening we returned and found the cold water tap was not working. As there was no phone in the room it seemed too much hassle to report it. They do leave bottled water in the room but we were still thirsty in the morning. To be fair, when we mentioned it at check out we received a free drink in the bar. We choose water! Overall, it's a beautiful building but it's a very expensive hotel and the finishing touches are not there.

The hotel is excellent right in the heart of the main square. Historic building renovated to a modern and tasteful interior. Amenities are complete( except bathrobe) and everything at a high standard.

Beautiful building- inside and out. Friendly service and delicious cocktails- room is all automated and really, really nice. Throw in a really comfortable bed and a nice walk-in shower and I’ll call this place 10/10.

Lovely place at the heart of Leuven!
The hotel was perfectly located next to all the historical buildings in Leuven and the Grote Market. The hotel itself is a historical building and the facilities were modern and clean. The queen bed was a little small and we had a small window with no curtains so the outside lights was a little annoying. But overall lovely stay at this place

Hotel is beautiful, anyone can see that in the pictures. I had a terrace room, which was fine. The room is small and modern. The two highlights were the bed, very comfortable, and the huge terrace! Staff was ok. Upon arriving, I was asked to pay for my room....which I already had. Not a good look in a nice hotel. Then without asking was handed a map of the city. I’ve been to Leuven multiple times, next time ask. No one likes being treated like a tourist. Overall it was pleasant and I’d consider, but not go out of my way, to stay again.

No working AC, No elevator access, No phone to call the front desk, No bathroom door. Long story short, it took me from 2 am to 3:30 am to get to bed and finally get some shut eye until the bright daylight woke me up at about 6:30 am and gave me a bad headache. This was my first night experience in this supposedly fancy hotel which costed me $160 a night off-season. I got only 3 hours of sleep and a bad headache. The next day I talked to some of the other guests at the hotel and they also had problems with the AC. In my opinion a hotel that doesn’t have a working AC should not be allowed to operate; period. This first night struggle not only ruined the hotel experience for me, but also ruined my Belgium experience.

Great location and nice looking
The location was great, right in the center of the city!! The city hall is right next to the hotel. The staffs were nice. The room was spacious and nice. I haven’t tried the breakfast but the restaurant was full.

It is a very nice hotel with less service than you’d get at an average Motel 6. The answer to every question I asked—literally—was no. Not even a chance of early check in. No wi-fi. No iron. No taxi. No, no, no.

I'm very sorry to hear that we were not able to accommodate your requests. - Early check-in always depends on availability, and we've been mostly fully booked for the last few weeks. - Unfortunately, we're experiencing some serious issues with our servers which leads to the wi-fi being unavailable throughout the entirety of the hotel at this moment. - We have just gotten the go-ahead to purchase a few extra irons/ironing boards for our guests. - It's advisable to request a taxi to be reserved ahead of time as there are only a handful of taxi companies operating around the Leuven area and they tend to be fully booked at peak hours every day. Nice Hotel, good room. Only our room did have a strange smell (comming from the shower sink). Staff seemed to know the problem. Problem is not taken care of. Hotel management should care for delivering a good service for everybody.

Will be back!
Highly recommended! Amazing location, the room was really nice, bed super comfy. The only thing is the bathroom has no door - which is not a problem for us as we're a couple - but this can be quite awkward otherwise! Rain shower worked like magic. Trouble-free check in and check out process. Lots of great restaurants around. Can't fault this place!

Very nice hotel only trouble was the glass door on the toilet and shower at the side of a patio door if any body came into the room while you were using the toilet or shower you are in full view also you could be seen from the outside while you are in the toilet

Wonderful location and room
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Leuven that looks much more expensive than it is. The service was a little cold, and we were turned away when we tried to check in an hour early after an overnight flight, even though the next day we overhead others being checked in before 3 p.m. But the space was lovely and the room very comfortable. Would recommend.
