"Horrible staff "

"I would love to give 5 stars, the resort was nice, clean for the most part and food was good except for at The Mix, which we had to pay an extra $45 per person for as it was not included in our AI package. The resort as a whole was very short staffed which caused all staff to be over worked and most not so friendly. Most staff members never smiled when approached whether it be at checkin or front desk in general, or at all restaurants and bars. There were a few exceptions where certain staff members were very friendly and always took care of us and that was only a few at the Pure Ocean restaurant."

"The best thing about this "resort" is the bar staff. They were great and made food that was good. The room was comparable to a Motel 6. There was one restaurant and it was mediocre at best. A couple of nights, the food was edible while the remaining evenings, we just ate salads. The same restaurant does breakfast too and it was OK for breakfast. The girl at the front desk was rude and 2 members of our party of 10 were on the other end of the property. Apparently there was a room to move us to with the rest of the group, but the front desk didn't let us know. The beach was average. The activity staff was available to help with kayaks, snorkels, or putt putt equipment. The pool was really clean and the only hot tub was hot, then cold as there were apparently issues with temperature control. Overall, your trip is what you make it, so we enjoyed ourselves."

"Enjoying the Caribbean is always a crap shoot, Oyster Bay at this time of year was definitely a mix of good and bad. The counter staff was horrible but the bar and cleaning crews were so great!!!! I think this was the first time I have been hung up on in years but the actual staff that did the work were amazing. Poor customer service but great service, if that makes sense. If you want to relax this is the place, if you’re looking for a little action I don’t recommend Oyster Bay at this time of year."
