"We stayed one week and had a pleasurable holiday. Food was fantastic and fresh. Big choice of fresh fruit and salads. Restaurant staff were very attentive and nice. One surprise was that there was absence of fresh orange juice, considering how many oranges are grown in Greece. Staff were polite, friendly and always smiling. Location of the Hotel was good, close to the airport and Heraklion City and there were plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby. Bedlinen and towels were clean but we did find that the room floor was not always cleaned, noticing same bits on the floor 3 days in the row. There are no ironing facilities in the Hotel and iron is not available if you ask for it which was a bit of a let down since many travellers would like to iron their clean dresses, shirts etc. taken out from the suitcases, without having to pay for it. Air conditioning was working well and was very quiet although we did not use it much as it was not that hot at night time for us. There was a small problem with water regulation in the shower, it was difficult to get it right and it was either too hot or little too cold. We also found that in the evening, whilst sitting outside, waiters would only serve certain tables and keep going back to them, whilst never stopping at others. Beach was windy at the time when we went and comparing with some other resorts we've been to, it was not being combed/ cleaned at all. Overall it was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed it."

"Hotel was beautiful and in a great location to the port, old town etc. Also had free parking which was a nice bonus. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was much needed respite from the heat. Only items to improve here was a bit of a disconnect between the day reception staff and the night reception staff re: our request for late checkout. Night staff said yes, then the next day, the day staff said no - so it made us scramble last minute to pack everything up. Otherwise - a great stay and would recommend!"

"If you are wanting a 5 star hotel this is not the place for you however if you are wanting a very Cretian villa with a beautiful pool and garden and a host who goes the extra mile then this is the place. Vagelis (the owner) simply added to the holiday with his fresh fruits, honey and oil from his own olives. He was available for any help needed. Great place to stay and great people. We would gladly visit again."

"We booked our stay months in advance of our trip. Yet when we arrived at 11pm at night (my wife, I, 2 children and the Mother In Law we were told the room wasn’t ready(?!) and they would have to put another bed in a different room so we could all fit in. That led to a half hour delay (not welcome at that time of night with young children) and worse still we would have to move rooms the next day…hotel is good for a city centre location, but that really poor start left a bad taste in the mouth…."

"Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung direkt am MeerWir waren mit der Ferienwohnung rundum zufrieden. Sie ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Besonders toll ist die Lage: Das Meer ist keine 20 Meter entfernt und eignet sich direkt vor der Unterkunft hervorragend zum Schwimmen und Schnorcheln.Ein weiteres Highlight unserer Reise, der Listis Beach, ist mit dem Auto in weniger als 15 Minuten erreichbar.Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das gemeinsame Essen mit unseren Gastgebern Eleni und Kostas, die extra für uns gekocht haben. Das war eine sehr schöne und persönliche Erfahrung, an die wir uns gerne zurückerinnern werden.Bei Fragen oder Problemen war unsere Gastgeberin jederzeit erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Auch für Familien mit Kindern ist die Wohnung bestens geeignet – es gibt Spielzeug und sogar ein separates Kinderzimmer.Alles in allem war es für uns ein rundum gelungener und erholsamer Urlaub. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen."

"Rooms were large and clean. The staff were great and did all they could to make our stay memorable. The pool was great and the food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very well done. The only caveat to that was the Tomatini restaurant which to our surprise was a little disappointing. This part of the island flies under the radar and is an absolute gem."
