"Just to summarize: one of the nicest smaller city hotels I have visited in years, clean, crisp, attentive service, very nice and spacious rooms, free coffee, cake and warm snacks in the afternoon, big breakfast, fantastic waterfront location, walking distance to downtown. "

"Interesting place with a colorful past. It was originally built as German barracks and concerted only a few years ago. We had a huge room, comfortable beds, and it was quiet."

"I stayed 2 nights at this hotel while my husband and I visited Papenburg. The staff were professional and helpful. The hotel itself is austere but clean and bright. When I was there, the hotel's clientele were mostly older customers and their adult children.The hotel had a calm atmosphere and there was little to no noise on my floor. The rooms were a good size and had a ton of outlets and USB ports to charge your phone. The only thing that I didn't like about my room was the mattress. I found it to be very hard. The best aspect of my stay was the breakfast. So much food and non-dairy milk for the ceral. I just loved it! "
