Maple Moon Farm ~ Stay at a Historic Maine Farm!

Enjoy a peaceful stay in a 1790s farmhouse on 120 mostly wooded acres in southern Maine. This historic homestead features a small maple syrup operation, blueberry plants, gardens, fruit trees, wooded trails, a meandering brook, mountain views from the front and side of the property, sunset views in the front of the property, views of cows on pasture on the farm next door, an outdoor fireplace, and an adorable rescued English Bulldog (Darcy).
The farmhouse retains much of its original charm, including wide-plank floors, exposed beams, original woodwork, and a nonoperational fireplace/bake oven in your private living space.

YOUR PRIVATE SPACE
Your private first-floor living area includes a pellet stove, comfortable seating, bookshelves with books and games, and a private entrance with keys.
Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. An outdoor propane grill and grilling tools are also available.
The large primary bedroom features a queen bed, large closet, built-in dresser drawers, desk, luggage rack, ceiling fan, exposed beams, exposed chimney, and skylight. The second bedroom has a full-size bed, full closet, and luggage rack.
The bathroom includes a pedestal sink, toilet, and stall shower. A beautiful brass claw-foot tub is also present as a decorative antique feature but is nonfunctional.
Wi-Fi is provided. There is no television, washer, or dryer in the rental space.
Your accommodations are completely separate from my living area, providing plenty of privacy and space to relax.

ACCESSIBILITY & SAFETY
Please be aware of the following before booking:
The guest entrance requires crossing a small grassy backyard.
The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, accessed by a 14-step staircase with non-slip tape.
Due to the stairs and layout, the property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or those who are unsteady on their feet.
This guest space is not safe for toddlers or young children. The wooden staircase and open bannister do not allow for effective placement of baby gates. The space also contains large antiques and a brick fireplace.

No pets are allowed. Although I love animals and have a rescue dog of my own, the guest space must remain pet-free out of consideration for guests with pet allergies.
There is no climbing on farm equipment at any time. NO CLEANING FEE!
